cmjoyce113 Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Does anyone know how the games are assigned in a half season package? Do you pick the ones you'd like to attend? Is it first half/second half? Also does anyone know if there are payment plans with the Amerks. If so do you have to pay in full before the season or do they have something set up like the Sabres? Thanks for the help.
PromoTheRobot Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Don't know specifically what the Amerks are doing but at other AHL teams usually half-seasons mean every other game, either games 1-3-5 etc, or games 2-4-6 etc. PTR
KeithLGA Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 They're working on payment plans now. As for the half season, word is you'll have to pick the games to get guaranteed seats.
cmjoyce113 Posted July 6, 2011 Author Report Posted July 6, 2011 I spoke with the Amerks today and thought I would update everyone on the process of getting season tickets/half seasons. For the 19 game pack you select which games you want to go to once the schedule is released in August. They have a plan where you can put down a $50 deposit and then pay in 3 payments which makes it nice for a lot of people. The guy I spoke with told me that he wasn't sure of what specific seats were available but that they would most likely be able to accommodate any seat requests. Not that they can guarantee a specific row or seat but that they can probably get you in the section you would like to be in.
KeithLGA Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 Even if 3,000 people get season tickets you'll still get a great seat. Section 125 Row D seats 1-5 are good places to sit, right near the tunnel. I have 6 and 7, just hoping someone cool sits near me. lol

All Along The Watchtower Posted August 20, 2011 Report Posted August 20, 2011 HOCKEY! HOCKEY! HOCKEY! The guy who used to yell that at Amerks games in the 70s and 80s was a neighbor of mine in Charlotte. Pincy was his nickname, great street hockey goalie!
spndnchz Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Live chat happening at 11 am today with Ted Black and Kevin O of D&C http://blogs.democratandchronicle.com/kevino/

spndnchz Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Black said today that the Assistant coach/es would be introduced by the end of next week. Anybody want to speculate?
shrader Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 Black said today that the Assistant coach/es would be introduced by the end of next week. Anybody want to speculate? Just Amerk assistants or are they still considering an associate coach for the big squad as well? edit: Oh, and as for speculation, didn't they say at some point in the offseason that Weinrich would be staying on with the team in some form?

He used the word Assistant when referring to the coaches. Weinrich has been retained by the Sabres in a scout/player development position.
Andrew Amerk Posted August 22, 2011 Report Posted August 22, 2011 They should bring in Don Cherry to help coach again. Or, maybe Mike Keenan again.
