Suggestion Thread!

Something I noticed: the links to recent forum topics on the front page go to the start of the thread. They used to go to the first unread post.

Yes - does it on TSW, too. Annoying.

I've looked into this. I believe I just have to append a piece of text onto each URL culled from the RSS feed. It's not a one minute fix, but it is on my list.

How about a way to comment on the articles on the main page? (My apologies if it's already suggested and I forgot.)

There is a way - I have it turned off for now. I'm looking at a bridge between WP and IPB that will allow for a single sign-in.

The schedule on the home page is always appreciated. Looks like it's time for an "Off Topic" board, like on TSW.

We'll see how it goes...

I personally like [OT]s here.

One thing that I always though would be handy is a "previous post" link at the top of the page (as a part of the " ← 1 2 3 4 5 → Last " links. For whatever reason, I often read threads (or parts of them) backwards. It would be nice if you could just press the "previous post" link and go right to the last post of the previous page.

(I know, I know. "Is it really that hard to just press the ← then scroll to the bottom of the page?"... Somedays?.. Yes,.. Yes it is.)

Not a suggestion but no where else to put this: Has anyone else seen the groupon-copycat ad on the front page showing "local dining" with a plate containing (1) sushi and (2) a yogurt parfait? I can't think of two foods that would go together worse.

On the homepage where the schedule is, would it be possible next to where it says Sabres Schedule to put what month its on, I have to keep counting the months when I scroll through (if I missed where it says it, disregard)

It shows the month abbreviation on the first day of each month. I agree that it should be more prominently displayed, but it looks like it's using Google Calendars, in which case there's probably nothing SDS can do to change it...

Test message 2<br><br>Hey SDS, there seems to be a bug. If you try to edit a post that has a quote in it, the editor freaks out and removes all the line feeds.<br><br>And starts printing some of the HTML tags.<br>

Disable flood control for searches, maybe? I get it for posts, but it took me forever to find that Columbus GDT from December. (And for some reason, it wasn't a returned result when I searched for "columbus." Are searches cap-sensitive? They shouldn't be.)
