thewookie1 Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 According to this article, we have less cap room than Van and half the NHL?? http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=567706&navid=DL|NHL|home
nucci Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Not sure how accurate it is but I think we have a back up goalie.
dEnnis the Menace Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Not sure how accurate it is but I think we have a back up goalie. We have a backup in the NHL, but we only have 1 goalie in the AHL (although we did just draft a guy). As stated in another thread, it is not being forseen that we move forward with out 1 more veteran goalie as a starter in the A as the 3rd goalie.

I understand but I doubt the writer of the article meant that. Sounds like he was talking about a back up to Miller.

Eric in Akron Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 According to this article, we have less cap room than Van and half the NHL?? http://www.nhl.com/i...vid=DL|NHL|home Another thing you need to account for is that many of those teams do not have as much of their roster set... meaning they have more to sign than the Sabres do.
carpandean Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Plus, those teams don't have an owner with the checkbook to stick big $ players (e.g., Kotalik, Morrisonn, etc.) in the AHL. If they need more room, they can make it.
