SabresCup2k12 Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 With all the talk this year about how the Sabres need Brad Richards, i was talking to a friend about this very thing and then we both realized something. The sabres team should not include brad richards and should honestly look more like this this year. The big #1 center is still a need, but 30 year old, production slumping, concussed Brad Richards could become a bigger waiste then tim connelly. Ur lines for the 2011 Buffalo Sabres should look like this. Line 1 Vanek, Roy, Pommenville Line 2 Boyes, Ennis, Stafford ( Line 3 Kaleta, Gerbe, Hecht (Hecht) splits time with Michael Grier and Mike Mancari Line 4 Tyler Kennedy, Luke Adam, McCormick Defense Regher, Myers Ehroff, Leopold James Wisnieswki, Adam Sekera This folks does two things, you've got offense on the front line, we were 9th overall last year afterall. It allows u to keep the "scoring" in your front line, but it gives u a very very solid back end in front of Miller. This allows Miller to return to his dominant days as one of the best if not the best goalie in the NHL. Richards at 55 million over 8 years for a 30 year old center, when he has concussion issues and also his production has been dropping sounds too much like Tim Connely to me. Sign and create a dominate Defense....use your offensive heavy and forward heavy system to lock down the rest of the front-end. Next year look for ur #1 center when there may be more available. Or if Adam or another prospect shine through, use them later this year to trade for the #1 center we all want and know we eventually need.
DumbPuck Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 "Kaleta, Gerbe, Hecht" - this makes me sick. Did Gaustad die in a summer trainwreck ?
nfreeman Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 Welcome to the board, but this didn't need its own thread.
DumbPuck Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 " Line 2 Boyes, Ennis, Stafford ( " Who is you center here? I love Boyes (ick) but I don't want him playing center. I respectfully disagree with most of your opinion here. I don't think we should overpay for a player like Brad Richards, but we should definitely approach him.
LGR4GM Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 "Kaleta, Gerbe, Hecht" - this makes me sick. Did Gaustad die in a summer trainwreck ? he did along with Mike Weber and Marc Andre Gragani... stupid trains!
shrader Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 So two true centers in Roy and Adam and then a bunch of guys who don't actually exist? But hey, another thread on this subject. Woooo.

The thread protocol has been sketchy lately, but I'm sure you will be forgiven for being new. BTW, The bolded people don't actually exist.
SDS Posted June 30, 2011 Report Posted June 30, 2011 I'm going to lock this to avoid the pending beat down...
