Agreed. Just like the idea of using Kassian in McCormick's role right now. Neither have the NHL experience to do what Cody does - enforce without too many trips to the penalty box or even suspensions. Give them both some seasoning in the big league and then I think we can absolutely expect them to replace Cody (or whomever).

if you rewatch the game where enroth tossed his helmet and Cody destroyed the guy in front, MAG is in the background and he looks slighly unsure of what to do and then Cody comes barreling in and destroys the guy with a good clean hit. I'll pay 1.2 for that, and if you show how much you appreciate what he brings he may bring you a little more.

Its at the 47 second part where you can see the difference btw MAG as a rookie and Cody as a Vet.

remember the play where Enroth lost his helmet made the save and the guy was trying to bang it in and McCormick destroyed him? I just saw it again and am happy this guy is on our team for a couple more years. Good hard worker and the sort of 4th liner we need.

Plus he knocks one of the guys into the ref. Maybe thinking to himself - hey ref - blow the play dead.

Another nice touch on that play is at the beginning. Montador breaks his stick, and McCormick gives his to him so that he can play D in the zone.

 

Then he follows it up by making a clean hit that takes out two 'canes.
