X. Benedict Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Really? Not surprised that he's back, just surprised that he's back before the 1-3 lines are set. Maybe it's a favor to Pat Morris. Nice to see Darcy is talking with Pat the hour before 12. :clapping:
carpandean Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 A little high, but as I said, I may be buying his jersey (though, we keep adding good players.)
SDS Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Nice to see Darcy is talking with Pat the hour before 12. :clapping: BTW, Pat, do you have any other clients we should be talking to in an hour?
shrader Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 A little high, but as I said, I may be buying his jersey (though, we keep adding good players.) I already have all 3 jerseys, but since they're spending so much money, I'm going to return the favor and get another one. I think I'll have to retire the Grier jersey to just the occasional BU game.
Braedon Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Love the signing, a lot for a 4th liner but he plays hard and I'd hate to lose that
X. Benedict Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 BTW, Pat, do you have any other clients we should be talking to in an hour? Not only Richards....he's got Arnott too.....that could be interesting. (and ahem.......Drury)

I think I'll have to retire the Grier jersey to just the occasional BU game. I have the home jersey (bought when it was a third), but have held off on one of the new ones because most of the players that I liked were on short contracts. Cody was one and now he'll be here a while.
Robviously Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Overpaid by, what, $200,000 a year? Who cares? I like that the team is rewarding a guy who busts his ass every time he's on the ice, stands up for his teammates, and throws some checks. He's a fourth liner but he's a really good fourth liner. Plus this gives us time to develop Kassian and Foligno.

BuffaloSoldier2010 Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 1.2 might be considered much for an enforcer type, but Cody shows up and plays the game every night he steps on the ice, and he doesn't take a whole lot of stupid penalties. I'm happy with the deal. He's a great player to have. And it's really not that steep of a price, especially considering the raised cap.
qwksndmonster Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 I couldn't be happier to have McCormick back. Cody busts his ass way harder than Connolly ever did, and I'm excited to see Cody back in blue and gold.

(which would be a good thing)
dEnnis the Menace Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 +1 Speaking of Timmay, theres been no word of the Sabres even talking to him yet, has there? (which would be a good thing) Darcy has had conversations with his agent, but no offers have been laid out.
Campy Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Love the signing, a lot for a 4th liner but he plays hard and I'd hate to lose that Yep. Plays hard and generally doesn't run around like a nut taking a bunch of bad penalties. Good signing IMO.
inkman Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Yep. Plays hard and generally doesn't run around like a nut taking a bunch of bad penalties. Good signing IMO. Exactly. He knows his role and he's among the best in the league at it. Doesnt lose his head and come unglued lol Carcillo or Eager. He also isnt useless with the stick in his hands. Love it.
DR HOLLIDAY Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Glad Cody is on my team...... I think his teammates are thinking the same thing........
... Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 Whhheeeeeee! I'm very glad Cody is back. I think it's a fair deal, too, considering what he brings to the team.
beerme1 Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 I love this. we are taking care of our own worhty guy for pennies. Think he's not a happy guy? This guy has a big heart and is well liked and respected by everyine in the room. Glad to be keeping him
PotentPowerPlay22 Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 I couldn't be happier to have McCormick back. Cody busts his ass way harder than Connolly ever did, and I'm excited to see Cody back in blue and gold. Connolly made $4.5 million. Cody is a bargain by comparison.
LGR4GM Posted July 1, 2011 Report Posted July 1, 2011 remember the play where Enroth lost his helmet made the save and the guy was trying to bang it in and McCormick destroyed him? I just saw it again and am happy this guy is on our team for a couple more years. Good hard worker and the sort of 4th liner we need.
