WAKE UP B-LO!

We all need to eat Kotalik's salary by morning!

Man vs. Food style!

The Bills went retro today - why not the Sabres?

Because the Sabres want to stay as far away from the loser Bills as possible...don't get me started on that!

It's amazing how quickly people update things on Wikipedia, especially for our latest acqusitions.

FWIW, according to the Wikipedia article, Regehr is very active in the Calgary community. Not only was this a huge pick-up for our blue line, but I see nothing but great things coming from him in terms of community involvement from him in the Buffalo area.

Regehr: "I couldn’t find anyone to say anything bad about Buffalo. Everyone enjoyed the people, the city."

-phew

Something ain't right. Either I'm dead or in the Matrix.....

Don't assume this transfers.

Not sure who Vicki is, but thought I would pass along..

From Vicki Hall

Quote:

@vickihallch: Jay Feaster on Regehr deal:“We're still in a position here where we have to get some things finalized before we know for sure where we are.”

WTF is that supposed to mean? I thought everything was finalized before they approached Regehr. How else could Feaster say that we had the best offer?

One million to buy Kotalik out? Done and DONE!

Why bother buying him out?

The Amerks can have a few veterans on the roster and if the Sabres run into a serious case of the injury bug he could fill in for a few games on the 2nd/4th line. (I don't want him anywhere NEAR the 1st or 3rd lines.)

Pegula doesn't appear to mind throwing away a few $100k / $MM, so there won't be the OSP clench occurring when that move gets suggested to him.

Speaking of OSP, does ANYONE here honestly believe a deal like this would get done under the old regime?

Essentially a 5 million cap hit for Regehr. I can live with that. Now I'm very curious to see how this team addresses its center issues. The next couple weeks should be interesting.

Bob McKenzie: When, or if, deal is done, hearing Paul Byron, Chris Butler and 2nd is what BUF will send to CGY for Regher/Kotalik. Not yet official #tsn

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but look at the words Calgary fans are saying

Good thing I checked back before bed. If this is TPegs doing, I don't know what to say except we are the luckiest fans in the NHL to have him.

I liked the earlier report of the 2nd coming back to Buffalo in the deal.

If this is true, Reiger could have upped the pot to get it done...

How?

Are you suggesting he could have offered Regehr something more, which he could not do?

Or are you suggesting that he should have / did up the offer to Feaster, who is on record (through 3rd parties) as saying that Buffalo made the best (only?) offer for Regehr? If the issue was entirely whether Regehr wanted to come to Buffalo, how does offering more to Feaster alter Regehr's opinion?

If that really is the deal, the old Darcy who made deals like the ones that landed Briere and Gilmour/Dumont is back. That's an absolute fleecing.

Yeah, absolutely. That's a massive steal.
