LGR4GM Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 He is bigger. He is stronger. He is a defense first player. Bieksa has other intangibles. Mean, quick, has offensive upside over Regher. But Buffalo needs to change the culture around the crease and Regher fits the bill nicely. he also is a lefty as opposed to Bieksa's righty... Myers is a righty.... please let it happen... please.
spndnchz Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 ???? @gotitotti: Regher has agreed to waive NMC. Sad day in cgy. 4 minutes ago Not legit. Click on his tweet and it says "user doesn't exist". edit: now he does, but can't spell Regehr right.
Bullwinkle Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 he also is a lefty as opposed to Bieksa's righty... Myers is a righty.... please let it happen... please. Be careful what you wish for. We don't know who or what we will be giving up.

Regehr has a mean streak we haven't seen here since........(still thinking)
Bullwinkle Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Not legit. Click on his tweet and it says "user doesn't exist". I'm no pro at twitter, but it says his name is Michael Fabrig.
Foot In The Crease! Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Not legit. Click on his tweet and it says "user doesn't exist". Here's a link to his twitter
Bullwinkle Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 True. Bieksa is a much better skater. Regehr has a mean streak we haven't seen here since........(still thinking) King Kong Korab?
spndnchz Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Fan960 reporting "Right now, the thought is a few teams are interested in Regehr, may have waived NMC to go elsewhere."
North Buffalo Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 The delay in this deal has nothing to do with the Calgary organization. It's all Regehr. And while the Flames aren't necessarily looking for a better offer, Regehr probably is. Noticing that he's available, other teams probably will come knocking. Calgary didn't do this intentionally, they wanted to make the deal straight away. If we lose Regehr to a better offer, it's Regehr's doing. And while I'm at it, forget Bieksa. From all accounts he has NO interest in Buffalo. Understood, still could've created a problem.
Taro T Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 King Kong Korab? Schoeny was meaner than Jerry. But you have to go back at least to Nolan's 1st year to Sabres that played w/ Regehr's edge and probably back to Schoeny to get to comparable.
North Buffalo Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 True. Bieksa is a much better skater. Regehr has a mean streak we haven't seen here since........(still thinking) Schoenfeld and Korab?
darksabre Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 That guy got his "confirmation" from someone who he follows who posted in error and then corrected themselves that it was not done. He just hasn't corrected his tweet as well.
cdexchange Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 C'mon dammit! Refresh...refresh...
spndnchz Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Let's take 4 minutes and then return to our regular programming... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=76QXYg592a4
sabres1970 Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 I'm not one to base a player solely on his NHL 11 rating but Regher is also an 88. Not bad.
LGR4GM Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Dreger says Regehr may not waive today! "Robyn Regehr remains undecided on waiving no-move. May not decide today. Other teams believed to be interested, but CGY like Buf deal." http://twitter.com/#!/DarrenDreger
sabres1970 Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 No reason to give up Adam unless we intend on signing/trading for a big time center. If we only end up with an avergae center, i still want Adam there to develop, I like him a lot.
sabills Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 Dreger says Regehr may not waive today! "Robyn Regehr remains undecided on waiving no-move. May not decide today. BetterDays06 Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 This is just getting annoying. If he is seriously going to hesitate this much why would we want him? yeah he is a great veteran player and would be a great asset, but holy crap. This can't be the only dman they have on their list. Go after others and see what happens
ROC Sabres Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 argh, saw that. well i guess its not for a pick then No but the other "big move" that is suppose to happen might be influenced by him dragging his feet.
Lanny Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 argh, saw that. well i guess its not for a pick then At least not a 1st rounder. This is just getting annoying. If he is seriously going to hesitate this much why would we want him? yeah he is a great veteran player and would be a great asset, but holy crap. This can't be the only dman they have on their list. Go after others and see what happens If he's their #1 guy don't you wait the day or so.
Drunkard Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 This came from that twitter link that was posted earlier. gotitotti Michael Fabrig RT @fan960boomer: Regehr update: hearing another team is kicking tires, bringing the total to as many as six teams inc Sabres interested. I wonder who the other teams are that are inquiring?

Go after others and see what happens He's spent his whole career in Calgary, has a family there. It's a tough choice. I don't think it's about Buffalo. It's more about being close to home vs. moving. He can take all the time he wants up to June 30th IMO. He took less money on this contract so he could have his NMC and have time to think. Let him be sure he wants to come here.
Bullwinkle Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 I would take him over Stajan. So would I, but he's not a nr. 1 center, more like a nr. 3
