I just saw on wgr that the schedule will be released today at 2 p.m. I am a little excited to plan on which games I'm going to head to and see what the first month of the season will look like for us.

IF the Sabres lead the league in back to back games again we know the fix is in.

Planning a train ride road trip to Montreal for 8 of us and desperately want a Saturday night game.

yeah, I really hope we don't get shafted again. Although, the Friday Saturday combos allowed me to go to more games with being so far away. I liked going to the games, but in the end, I can deal with just a Friday or Saturday or even Sunday game here and there.

Schedule is out and it looks like we got shafted by the schedule. I counted 21 back to backs which is basically half our schedule. I guess they lost whatever memo Ted Black sent to the league requesting fewer back to back games. Maybe I should pull up some other teams to compare.

Much of this could be if the Sabres request that most home games be Fridays and Saturdays.

I counted 21 back to backs

Ha! I counted 19 in my first run-through. 15 may be the number of Fri/Sat back-to-backs, but there were some others. I'll try it again ...

Edit: 20 the second time. There are a couple that are on the last day in one month and the first day in the next month.

Edit: 21 the third time. Drunkard is the winner ... guess I need to drink more.

Note: in the last 14 games, there are only two (both F/S), and there is only one more (well, one and half) earlier in March.

Just looking at our division the Sabres have 21 back to back games, Montreal has 14, the Massholes have 13, and Toronto and Ottawa both have 17. I declare shenanigans on the NHL.

WTF?! that's ridiculous lol! what did we have this past season, 21 again right? I guess they really didn't get the memo!

I don't care, I love back to backs. I also love this: "Buffalo’s busiest night of the week is Saturday, with the team playing on 24 of a possible 25 throughout the season."

Nothing beats getting wasted for a Sabres game on a Saturday night!

...except for getting wasted Friday AND Saturday for back to backs!

But really, do we need to bitch about the back-to-backs? They have three b2bs in the last FIVE weeks of the season... I don't think that's going to wear em out down the stretch or anything.

Honestly, when I was a kid, playing double-headers in the same day wasn't a problem and I was far from a professional athlete. I guess the travel situation involved needs to be looked at but the number of back-to-backs should mean longer breaks between other games and may not be a terrible thing. Haven't looked--interested in how many are home and homes which would further negate the effect.

Gonna wear out the DVR again this season! 7 total games on sundays and mondays (my nights off). And the worst part of it is i dont have the patience to wait til i get home to actually watch the game! Oh well, at least i get to see the Bills play live. Actually that could prove more depressing than anything else...

Two Friday night games here in Carolina. This is the first time in a very long time that the Sabres don't play here for a Saturday or Sunday game. It looks like we will all just need to take half days at work to keep our pre-game pillaging efforts to at least 4 - 5 hours.

That was probably requested by Carolina.
