That's the best literal translation I think I've ever seen. The Mannheim Gas Animals. I would pay good money to see an American team sport that name. Preferably a Dallas-based team. You know ... cuz of all the brisket.

carpandean Posted June 21, 2011 Report Posted June 21, 2011 I misread the title as "Jochen Hecht interviews with his old German team." I thought maybe he was trying to get a contract in Europe.

X. Benedict Posted June 22, 2011 Report Posted June 22, 2011 I was just thinking how awkward it would be to get rid of Hecht now. PTR We'd need a Thomas Vanek charm campaign to offset it.
Sterling Archer Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 We'd need a Thomas Vanek charm campaign to offset it. An Austrian moving in on Germany has always went well.
sabills Posted June 23, 2011 Report Posted June 23, 2011 My favorite part is him refering to Vanek as "our Austrian".
Buffalo Sports Man Posted June 24, 2011 Report Posted June 24, 2011 My favorite part is him refering to Vanek as "our Austrian". Nothing like ze Germans for a gut time. I think I'm one of the two people in Buffalo (it's me and Lindy at this point) who like what Hecht offers as a two-way player. Though, I don't quite have Lindy's 'wanted to make him the captain' level of Mancrush.
Doohicksie Posted June 25, 2011 Report Posted June 25, 2011 translated I never looked at Hecht as being 33 yrs old. huh. What that interview really needs is someone reading the transcript in English with a German accent, poorly lip-synched to a bad Japanese ninja movie. :clapping:
