BuffaloSoldier2010 Posted May 25, 2011 Report Posted May 25, 2011 Is there any reason for the sharks to completely restructure their system? It's seemed to work pretty well the last couple years, but i have to wonder how long an organization can keep playing at the level they do, only to be met with disappointment year in and year out. Many have cited salary as a possible purger for San Jose, but what exactly is their situation? According to cap geek, they will have a projected $7,575,000, before signing any of they're free agents(assuming current levels at 59.4mil). That doesn't include the projected increase in cap room for next year. Will San Jose retool?? Or will they keep with the status quo? They can afford to maintain what they have, and possibly add another key piece assuming that the cap does go up as considerably as some of us are anticipating. Is there anything they desperately need to put them over the top?

SJ should sign a couple of grinders with more upside and add another quality defender but retool is no needed. They need drew and sekera to put them over the top.
