Obviously, he'll be looking for a GM job before an Assistant GM job, but he would be perfect. I'm interested to see if Craig Ramsey continues with Winnipeg as he was Dudley's choice. If not, he'd make a very good Special Teams coach as I believe he has worked in that capacity before with Tampa and with Boston, and those teams played well on special teams. He's also a hometown guy, of course.

I would love to have Weiss. He's good all around. A better option than Laich IMO as he can play any line, any unit. But he's probably Florida's best forward. But maybe they haven't finished fire sale mode.

We have two natural centers (one of whom should be a 4th liner) on the team and no center prospects and they list depth forwards and another defenseman as our needs. IDK, we could try an all LW forward group, and see how that pans out... There is no way he signs for less than $5.5M and I don't see the flyers just letting a third round draft pick walk out the door July 1st. That signing would put them about $5M over the cap with a need to sign at least 2 forwards. They'll have to trade someone, and likely let Zherdev and Leino walk. Carter and Richards' NTCs don't take effect until 2012. Giroux is tradeable as well. Bottom line, they're gonna have to trade someone for prospects and picks.

Myers is worth Kane plus sharp plus a defensmen... hes going to be an all star for years, making chara look like a chump

I'd've preferred they said "hell no" to that, but I'd allow that "no" works as well. Would love to see Malkin &/or Weber. Could live w/out Spezza unless the price was very right.

Kane is worth $15 million a year to their franchise. He'd be worth $30 to Buffalo. Tyler Myers is a major injury waiting to happen. He skates very well for his size, but he is not built like Chara. He leaves himself exposed and can very easily blow out a knee or have an awkward landing. I've never said this opinion before because I have enough problems....but I would use Myers in a trade if I could. I wouldn't go out of my way to trade him, but if you have top 10 talent being dangled for him....pull it. If he had an extra 30lbs on him, I wouldn't be worried.

The Sabres scouting staff do not feel he will fill out or come anywhere near a Chara build. They are on record. Again to say no to Kane is crazy. They could cement PSL's for the next 5 years and the money he would juice into the local economy would be out of sight. Ask an "average" hockey fan in Nashville, San Jose, Denver, Miami, even ST. Louis....who Pat Kane is. Then ask them who Tyler Myers is.
