Tyrannustyrannus Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 I was at the Blue Moon Cafe in Manhattan to watch one of the playoff games. The Blue Moon is on of the 2 of 3 bars in the city that will play Sabres games. They had Tom Golisano come in to watch a game down the stretch after he sold the team. I believe it when he said he only missed 6 games the entire time he owned the team.

darksabre Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 who cares Respect veteran members, punk. Your attitude the last few days has been extremely sour. I suggest you cool it before you get hit with the ban hammer.

I do think he became a hockey fan - but I think he never really got past the idea that he could apply Six Sigma and accounting principles to sports ownership.

I am sure it is an interesting breed, that I can understand :blush If only....

I know that the 1st part of this is true and would say the 2nd part was accurate as well in a very concise way.

nobody Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 you know what, forget it, sorry I posted it. Enjoy your miserable off season. Now now - to quote a new father "It's going to be a good off-season everyone, keep your spirits up!" By the way - congrats! Shouldn't you be getting some sleep?

Shouldn't you be getting some sleep? I said "enjoy YOUR miserable off season" I won't be miserable because we will move forward. It was a good season, but its sad to see all this nonsense come out as soon as the Sabres were eliminated. It was just interesting to me to know that there are TWO billionaires out there that are Sabres fans. I generally picture billionaires as robotic old men with no real interests in anything I would care about. To me, rich people are usually dull and boring. I mean, has anyone else been to the Blue Moon? I don't think there have been many Billionaires that have had a beer there, despite it being in one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Manhattan.
billsrcursed Posted April 29, 2011 Report Posted April 29, 2011 you know what, forget it, sorry I posted it. Enjoy your miserable off season. Don't let that douchebag get to you. Every once in a while, one leaks in. After a few mouthy posts and some crying, they leave. He'll be gone by morning. Congrats on the little one, btw!!

Tyrannustyrannus Posted April 29, 2011 Author Report Posted April 29, 2011 I have the dull and boring part down - where are my riches? a dollar bill hasn't made me happy since I was 8. I could get packs of Hockey Cards at Vix for 20 cents.
