Interesting that both were immediately put on the the top pairing at their new clubs. Maybe they weren't as bad as most here thought...

I will be honest, I liked Toni and Hank had a good year last year, just saying.

We had a couple of playoff tested veteran defensmen, but they're in Anaheim and New Jersey now. We replaced them with crap and not-yet-ready-for-prime-time youth.

Tallinder is shot. Let's not pretend he'd be making a difference here. Lydman was good but Golisano/Quinn had a strict policy about not re-signing good players.

i dont believe in hockey heaven anymore. Hope Tpegs makes major changes.

Don't over-react. I'm pissed too but we pushed a legitimate Stanley Cup contender to 7. Should we have won? Yes. But hey, we will be alright.

Thanks folks they sucked me back in long enough to give me hope and break it against the flyers. The Sabres still need two centers, but I think the D will get better. Can't wait to see what Braydon McNabb can do.

Gutless. Can i start the fire darcy thread or will somebody else do the honors?

Jesus folks..we just went on a great run for three monthjs..game 6 killed em, it killed me for christ sake.

Some changes coming, but to say this team showed no heart or no fight is just plain wrong. They had nothing left tonight..

Are you serious? He hasn't even had an offseason.

Psst, Derrico. It's sarcasm. I was actually saying that post is one of the dumbest I've seen so far tonight. And THAT'S saying something.

GO SABRES!!!

Hmmm.... Let's look at trade deadline deals to prep the Sabres for the past two playoff runs:

'10 - Raffi Torres

'11 - Brad Boyes

Both had great impact on the team and helped take them deep into the 1st round. Just sayin...

they had these punks in the palms of their hands. multiple goal leads, up 3 games to 2, coulda buried these a-holes two nights ago in OT...and instead, another first round exit.

shoulda gone after arnott at the deadline. neids had played well this series, but he's not the veteran presence i think of when a team needs to add the necessary leadership to win in the playoffs.

absolutely steamrolled in that first period, and no sustained response in the second. sad night. but at least the youngsters got some needed playoff experience.

does miller come back out for handshakes? how does that work?
