LabattBlue Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 I hate to say this..Please don't throw the tomatoes at me....But, these defensemen need seasoning... How much time do they have for seasoning when you consider Pegula's 3 year plan?
DR HOLLIDAY Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Who gives a ######. Play goal. So you are talking crap toward the only player of ours that showed up to play this game.........
DumbPuck Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 I'm not ready to give up yet. We've still got a few guys out there who want to win. Lets go buffalo!!
Snowmobiler97 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Hahaha hey @ssholes i like connolly, u all got proved wrong, hows that pk doing? Or the pp, wait! Faceoffs too, ur all wrong
kishoph Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 At least they showed more grit in that period. I'm one that believes it isn't over until the final whistle, these playoffs have been filled with big comebacks, no reason why it can't happen here.
Kristian Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 I cannot argue this at all. Sad thing is, the Sabres scored enough goals to win in a couple they lost WITH the better goalie. Why didn't they effectively trap the hell out of the Flyers when they got a lead? Teams do that consistently when they go up on the Sabres and the Sabres rarely have the answer. Exactly. This is a 7 game series because the Flyers have been through 4 goalie changes, not because the Sabres have played with them, barring perhaps game 2.
Sabel79 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 The only thing that gives me hope is that there will still be a Flyers Goalie at the other end of the rink...
DFITZ1 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Yeah that's unfortunate to say the least, but again I'll point my finger at Lindy. My premonition was that game 6 loss drained the Sabres and energized the Flying Divers.
X. Benedict Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Keep: Myers Leopold Sekera Gragnani Weber Get rid of: Butler Morrison Montador Add: stay-at-home defenseman to pair with Myers an additional stay-at-home defenseman to pair with Leopold Make it happen, Darcy. You have an entire offseason to do this you know. ...
... Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 ^This. It's sad that the usual suspects, with so much emotional energy invested, have to wimp out and throw the team under the bus when things don't go according to plan. The easy thing to do is lay down here. I can tolerate losing to a more talented team. I won't tolerate rooting for quitters. I fully expect them to keep battling. It's all they can do. GO SABRES!!! Thank you.
Kristian Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Hahaha hey @ssholes i like connolly, u all got proved wrong, hows that pk doing? Or the pp, wait! Faceoffs too, ur all wrong Don't feed the troll.
JohnRobertEichel Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 You have an entire offseason to do this you know. ... Which began for the Sabres about 20 minutes ago....
SabreInFla Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 "Winning is not a goal, it is a fantasy"
bunomatic Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Look on the bright side. This gives Pegula and whoever he has evaluating the talent or lack thereof on this team the chance to see the roster stripped down warts and all. He can see the guys that have the fire and the ones who just don't. And he can see on the flyers side what a deep talented roster with size can accomplish.
LabattBlue Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 All this talk about "7" before the game, how about our "7" million dollar man. Where is he in the biggest game of the season?
DFITZ1 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Exactly. This is a 7 game series because the Flyers have been through 4 goalie changes, not because the Sabres have played with them, barring perhaps game 2. The Sabres exposed the Flyers goalie problems and also re-exposed a problem we have had all year with the ability to keep leads and manage a game. Remember the Nashville game.
Kristian Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 My premonition was that game 6 loss drained the Sabres and energized the Flying Divers. Most likely, but in a one game series, you HAVE to show up nonetheless.
G-Daddy Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Time to switch to Bills mode, we get to pick a high priced dud with the third pick, then wait to see if the season is even played. Oh the joyous life of a Buffalo sports fan.
Team Strike Force Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 ^This. Sabres will battle. They didn't make the playoffs if their instinct was to quit. They just aren't playing smart yet tonight. Gotta watch, though. It's the end of sports in Buffalo for awhile. I will say, I predict that Buffalo gets a PP goal to start the 3rd and gets another one before the 12 minute mark, the Flyers will start to panic, and then anything can happen. I live in Philadelphia, and I can't stand it when the Flyers do well. The media coverage is brutal. There's a smugness that I've never seen in other teams' broadcasts (seen via NHL Center Ice). I lived in NYC for the Islanders and Rangers series' back in '07, and their coverage was much better. Flyer fans are a whole other story.
Wayne VanDorp Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Maybe they'll come out for the third in the Mighty Ducks sweaters
ThePebble19 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 All this talk about "7" before the game, how about our "7" million dollar man. Where is he in the biggest game of the season? We have to be able to pass the puck past our own blue line for him to get the puck.

samothyev Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 If it weren't for Buffalo's PK prior to this game this team wouldn't have made it this far into the series. Ironic how they can't PK anymore since TC was knocked out by that piece of :censored: captain of theirs. This period is going to show up who they keep and who needs to go. Stafford, Vanek, Gerbe to tie it. MAG's gets the game winner so we can go do this all over again with Washington! LET'S GO BUFFALO!!!!!!!
Eleven Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 All right. Everyone into the chat room NOW. We need some unity in our hopefulness.
