LabattBlue Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Because the coach is happy watching the forecheck, apparently. Seriously, we do the SAME things for 7 games straight, and they do the SAME things for 7 games straight. Are you kidding me??? No adjustments to the breakout plays? I was just thinking the same thing. Lindy has 6 games of tape to figure out a couple of breakout plays and they are not even close to solving the Philly forecheck.
Kristian Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Maybe the Flyers tired themselves out. Seriously, you knew they'd come out like rabid dogs, but I thought it was going to subside about 10 minutes in. Sabres Lindy need to figure out how to beat the forecheck. Fixed.

I'm not saying it would work mind you, that's a mean foreheck, but for heaven's sake - Try SOMETHING!!
darksabre Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 It's cool guys, we're only down by 1. Luck has been on our side. We got plenty of time to win it.
Wyldnwoody44 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 If and only if it appears we will lose....I will be very dissapointed if we allow philly to move on without some scratches...I mean c'mon boys where's.the heart
sabres1970 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Hey! theres fourty minutes to play! This games not over we're only down by one! lets go now
fiftyone Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 If they interview Lindy in the second, he better have one hell of a hoarse sounding voice. Damn.
dick Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 But for Miller the score is 3-0 easy. That's one of the worst periods they have played, not only in the series but this year. When they suck, they suck. I see no intensity. Philly's intensity and skating makes them look like bush league.
bunomatic Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Craig Mactavish just said Buffalos goaltender superiority over Philly is a wash because even if Philly had nobody in net Buffalo would still only be up by one. :clapping: I can't say I disagree.

kishoph Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Two shots on goal won't win you many games, they are playing scared, the D has to start skating the puck up and we have to send in at least 2 guys to forecheck, dumping the puck in and sending 1 guy to chase will get you about 2 shots on goal. Sabres need to come out nasty, as soon as briere is on the boards slam his ###### head into the glass and repeat the same for richards. If you're gonna lose st least beat the ###### out of them.
Knightrider Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Roy had more time on ice than Stafford... I didn't really notice him after the 10 minute mark, though.
DFITZ1 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 I was just thinking the same thing. Lindy has 6 games of tape to figure out a couple of breakout plays and they are not even close to solving the Philly forecheck. They also better figure out how to cover the points. Although the goal was after a cleanly lost face off, the Flyers are always throwing the puck to the point and they virtually have a free shot. Take advantage of that in the right way and we can get an odd man rush.

The Sabres missed some good opportunities by trying to pick corners. They need to hit the net on shots. And make Boucher make some saves.

DFITZ1 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Lindy's system does not cover the points. And the who;e league knows that.
LabattBlue Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 One more comment and I am done until after the 2nd period... Gaustad gets schooled by Briere with less than 30 seconds to go in the period. I thought this is what we were paying him for and Briere is no faceoff wizard. :wallbash:
Kristian Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 BTW...nice hit Danny.. <_< "Colin Campbell Sanctioned".........
plenzmd1 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 Wow...okay I know I am an idiot Sabre fan, never post in GDT during the game, so breaking the slump here. think the Flyers blew the proverbial wad..get one past Booch and pressure all switches to the bad guys
lalalalalaFontaine Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 looks like we've packed it in... hopefully this is an off season in which we actually do something
cmjoyce113 Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 nice gotta make something happen with this power play
DR HOLLIDAY Posted April 27, 2011 Report Posted April 27, 2011 looks like we've packed it in... hopefully this is an off season in which we actually do something Yeah, 1-0 game over.......... Its time to sack up not give up.........
