nfreeman Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Quite the soap opera has developed here, eh? In my opinion, this is a smokescreen cooked up by PA in order to enable him to immerse himself in the royal wedding. He'll be back once the honeymoon is over and they're back dedicating factories in Shropshamshire. BTW, I'm happy that Lindy was extended. I think the DR and LR critics should give each of them a year under TP. Also, I would trade Roy, Foligno and Adam for Spezza in a heartbeat.
SDS Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 This is sort of feeling like when Thurman, Bruce and Andre were about to get shown the door. Jack, Janet, and Chrissy would be a better analogy.
LastPommerFan Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Is that what this board has come to? Considering the lack of any interesting new posters, Weave being the exception, you would think this board would want to keep posters like PA around.
nobody Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Jack, Janet, and Chrissy would be a better analogy. It took multiple seasons before they were all gone.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Jack, Janet, and Chrissy would be a better analogy. We all know what happened once they all left. They tried spinoffs with remaining cast, The Ropers and Three's a Crowd. Both were boring as #### and lasted less than a year. Looks like Scott may have found the best Metaphor yet!!!

Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Real classy............. Hey...I was called a clown. Wouldn't want to disappoint. You've never seen a one eared bunny before?
DR HOLLIDAY Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Hey...I was called a clown. Wouldn't want to disappoint. You've never seen a one eared bunny before? Cheer up man sideshow clowns have made for some pretty great Simpson's Episodes.............
TheChimp Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 This is probably the third or fourth post from you today that I have read that is so critical of everything it is driving me nuts. Is there ANYTHING positive that you see in this organization? I'm not sold on everything yet, and a few of the veteran members of this board have really curbed my cautious optimism, and probably for the better. Either way, there is more credit that this franchise is deserving of than you dish out. There are several other members here that are very critical, yet they still have positives to point out once in a while. Sure, DR is the definition of mediocrity, and sure, Lindy hasn't won it all yet, but there is more hope here than you portray, but i guess that's just my opinion. And btw...could you be any more doom and gloom on a Friday? Complaints were due in yesterday I thought... So, OK, it's Saturday, is that the right day to reply or was I supposed to wait another day? You're getting all bunged up over nothing. Like I said at the end of my rant, I might be wrong. It's either the coaching staff or it's the players, though, and the coach is the one who's been here a hundred years now without a Cup even being on the radar except for ONE season with Superman between the pipes. This team bites it in the playoffs. That just kinda makes me mad. Sorry if that ruined your week.
SDS Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Hey...I was called a clown. Wouldn't want to disappoint. Anyone who compares themselves to one of the three most beloved sports figures in Buffalo's history kinda deserves any subsequent comparisons they get. Don't you think?
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 Anyone who compares themselves to one of the three most beloved sports figures in Buffalo's history kinda deserves any subsequent comparisons they get. Don't you think? Considering PA lives so close to Kutztown, I figured it was appropriate. Speaking of which, I'm sure he'd give you a big serving of his All-Purpose Sauce if you'd like.

You don't have the stones to leave SabreSpace on your own, so you're trying to goad SDS into banning you. :D

SwampD Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 He's just upset because on the same scale he's Chris Burkett. ...or Larry.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 He's just upset because on the same scale he's Chris Burkett. I was thinking more along the line of Al Edwards.
shrader Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 So which side of this bitter divorce gets to keep Wilbur? We still need someone to chase away all our squirrels.

Sorry man, just rubbed me the wrong way...sometimes I let things eat away at me, and your posts were the easiest thing to beach about. I'm pretty sure the loss ruined my week, everything else was just icing on the crap cake. I wish I could counter your argument...but the fact that you are so right it's like you told me so wouldn't cut it.
SDS Posted May 2, 2011 Report Posted May 2, 2011 So which side of this bitter divorce gets to keep Wilbur? We still need someone to chase away all our squirrels. Although I understand this was meant to be humorous, I want to reiterate that PA is more than welcome back at any time he chooses. What happened occurred during the course of normal moderation and it ends at that. It is in the past as far as I'm concerned.
calti Posted May 3, 2011 Report Posted May 3, 2011 He's just upset because on the same scale he's Chris Burkett. on that scale i'm alvin wyatt
Tom Backyard Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 Earlier today I was thinking about how in early November, Ruff, at his induction to the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame said, “When things are tough it’s when the true character has got to come out,we are a playoff team, we will make the playoffs.” Those were received as bold words when they were said in early November with the team scraping along the bottom of the league. He followed through and delivered on that statement. Pretty hard core.
bunomatic Posted May 5, 2011 Report Posted May 5, 2011 Can Terry get Briere back? I'm dead serious. First they'll have to get Biron back so he can talk Briere into coming to Buffalo.
