Pronger in, Carter out

If you thought there was as lot of hitting/scrums, just wait until Good Friday. This can get ugly now.

It as inevitable. He's probably going to make Mr Vanek's life miserable. He won't be fast enough to catch any of the waterbugs. Gerbe will probably skate through his legs.

The reporter on CSN during their live show just reported that they would be taking a look at Pronger after the morning skate tomorrow and making a final determination. Nothing for certain yet. He still has yet to take slapshots, so if he plays he will more than likely be offensively challenged.

I'm not that worried. Phlyers fans around here have been crying "When Pronger comes back" in a "I'm gunna tell my dad on you!" fashion for weeks. He's going to be as you said, offensively challenged, and rusty as hell. I just think it will take more than 2 or 3 games for him to knock the rust off, and by then it's not our worry anymore, one way or another.

Bring on Pronger - if we do take this thing it will take one of the excuses away from the Cryers. Our guys are pretty used to the mugging, the stick holding, the cheap shots, and the obstruction - it's not like they haven't seen his game before.

Weber, Butler, and Myers are getting a good lesson on playing nasty - either way this series goes it will be good for our young defensivemen to learn this lesson early. The guy that hits first, or knocks someone down, or makes himself a pain for folks entering the zone rarely gets a call against. Its the guys who retaliate for the shots that get nailed. And whining to the refs does nothing to help you during the playoffs.

If he is in for Carter he will need to shake off some rust, but I don't care either way. Guys get hurt, and other guys have to step up - it would have been nice to have Hecht and Roy healthy for this series, they aren't, so you roll with the guys you have.

:clapping: Exactly. If Roy had been hurt in March instead of a few months earlier, maybe there'd be more noise about him being out. But it's just about Pronger. Sabres are winning this series with or without Pronger in there.

Speaking of Roy, did I really hear on WGR that Roy claimed he would be back before the end of April?! Let's play long enough to find out boys!

Amen. That misdemeanor-committing jackass doesn't frighten me, and he shouldn't frighten the players, either. They want to slash at Miller's hands? They want to spear Gerbe's pearls? F it, someone can give Pronger a rough handshake or a "tap" on the glove.

...or a slash to the jaw...
