spndnchz Posted April 19, 2011 Report Posted April 19, 2011 Couture, Grabner and Skinner received the most votes from members of the Professional Hockey Writers’ Association in results announced Tuesday. The winner will be revealed during the NHL awards ceremony on June 22 in Las Vegas. The 22-year-old Couture scored 32 goals and had 56 points. Grabner, claimed off waivers by the Islanders from Florida on Oct. 5, had a team-best 34 goals. The 18-year-old Skinner led rookies with 63 points despite being the NHL’s youngest player.
Foligno's Nose Posted April 21, 2011 Report Posted April 21, 2011 Grabner is the definitely the best story. The Calder is Skinner's though. Ennis couldve been a player in this mix, but probably ended up 4th.

Ennis couldve been a player in this mix, but probably ended up 4th. I don't know. The overall impact and success of the team may shift it to Couture. Their points are pretty close, but the big thing that stands out to me is Couture's 8 GWGs to Skinner's 2.
