We don't need him proving how he can handle himself every time his manhood or size is challenged by someone thats physically bigger than him. Do it on the score sheet like he did against the flyers and Carcillo in the regular season not by taking stupid penalties to prove a point. His energy and compete level can be a real benefit to this team but on the other hand his immaturity as a player can hurt us just as it did with Giroux in game 2.

We all saw the guy grab Gerbe's mouth guard right out of his mouth, and it wasn't much of a "body slam" imo... more like two guys giving it to each other and they fell. They were back on their feet within half a second. IDK. just didnt' understand that one.

The playoffs are all about turning the other cheek for the good of the team not proving you have a set. The sabres very easily could have won game 2 but for moments of stupidity such as this.

Absolutely no reason to give Gerbe the double minor. Not blaming officiating for the loss but no way Gerbe should take heat for this.. it was a bad call. Terrible call.

Absolutely no reason to give Gerbe the double minor. I think he got the double minor for the second transgression which was the body slam. He was already being penalized before he decided to put his team down for 2 more minutes. I think thats why Giroux was laughing at him.

But that was an absolute pleasure to watch, penalty or no penalty. That was the game (with Game One on the road and in the bank) to do stuff like that. And the team did it.

It would probably have been a fan highlight had they won the game. You bring up a great point; last year it seemed the great majority on this board were screaming for passion and grit. Now that the Sabres display some, it's "not if it causes a penalty..." What's a Sabre to do?

What's a Sabre to do? Whats a sabre to do? Polish up the golf clubs if they continue to take stupid penalties. There's a difference between a good honest penalty and a dumb one. Ask a penalty killer which ones easier to kill. If they continue to take stupid penalties they'll be out before the next round. IMO.

I get defensive and was in on the whole Center debate so There was a great deal of one liners and firing angry posts back and forth. I am much calmer now and post much less... Besides I love this team and the last few months have been exciting with lots to post on. Ive been poster a lot less. (Also, I sit in front of computer for 4 hours and just have the time to check in out of conversations... that will change in abut month) lol LETS GO BUFFALO and NATHAN GERBE!!!!

I've been in and out for 5 years and have 1/10 your posts. As for Gerbe, I'll take that penalty. This team is showing more cohesiveness and fight in them than I have seen in quite some time. Do you recall how many used to come to the aid of a teammate? Tallinder rarely did. It used to drive me crazy. Yes, they can clean it up a bit, but I don't think it's Napoleon syndrome for NG, I think it's youth and naivete. Lindy will enhance their focus.

Lol thxs its easy, just post a few times a day or usually I'll read the first 10 threads and if the topic interests me I post something. If people respond or are saying crazy stuff i voice my opinion which I have been trying to remember is MY opinion only. Fighting on the board leads nowhere but posting counter ideas back and forth seeing if someone runs out of facts or some sort of proof first is fun. Game threads get posts like crazy if you post while watching a game... I just love talking sabres hockey! Nathan Gerbe picked up a guy bigger than himself and tossed him... THATS AWESOME!!!
