Wondering if anyone out there has a jersey they are thinking about selling. "New" original style logo only, preferably white...I don't really have a lot of money to spend on one which is why I ask on here. Even if you spilled beer or ketchup on it I don't really care as I would probably do the same. Need something to wear to the home games coming up. Don't hate on the Buffalo poverty please.

Please don't take this as hate, but if you're trying to find an inexpensive jersey you will probably have to relax your requirements of a specific color, logo, and size. I wouldn't be surprised if someone on here does have one they'd be willing to sell on the cheap to a fellow poster, but the chances of it being exactly what you are asking for are probably slim.

I don't take it that way, I'm fairly relaxed on it. Just know what I do/don't want is all. I couldn't live with myself wearing a slug or a black/red/white jersey is all. Trying to give an idea of what I am looking for...so people don't have to take the effort when I already know I don't want it. I see it worth a shot to see if anyone out there has one, if they don't then I am out of luck...or I have to find a way to pony up more money.

LOL don't know, actually never bought one from there but I have a friend at work who bought a Bills jersey from some Chinese website and he said they are exactly the same ones sold by Mitchell & Ness, just that there was some minor defect (thread, pull, something). I don't think the link I had is the same one he used, but I couldn't remember it off the top of my head. I can ask him tomorrow if you're interested. Given that it's from China, perhaps one would be best assuming it is contaminated with melamine, lead, or other some such thing. :unsure:

The lack of fun I would say stems from not being able to afford the "cool" jersey. I want to support my team...would love to do it in style. Maybe one day I'll run across a deal I just don't know enough about older jerseys to tell if they are authentic or not.

That's a pretty bizarre reaction. I never bought any goathead or slug merchandise during the years those were the primary logos--- why should anyone start now? That makes us bandwagon fans?

Sorry, knee jerk reaction to something I see as associated with the Capitals - they've done a great job re-energizing their fan base w/ new jerseys, but from an outside perspective (and someone who would attend games prior to their "new era"), they've left their history behind.

I definitely understand what you mean about Caps fans, living here in Loudoun County these past 2 years+. In general, they seem to have very little conception of anything hockey related beyond Ovie.

 

But aren't the new Caps jerseys more representative of their history than the ugly '96-'06 or so "Jagr era" jersey? Not too dissimilar from what the Sabres have done. Then again, the Sabres have a richer history from which to draw, early-mid '80s Rod Langway/Doug Jarvis/Mike Gartner era notwithstanding.
