Ok... So now the big question. Sabres just played back-to-back, then get a day off, before another back-to-back against teams that are playing for playoff lives (Rangers / Sabres, you know what I mean).

Can't play Miller 4 games / 5 nights (need him for Caps / Canes back-to-back this coming weekend, and if we're still up 5 points over Canes come Saturday, maybe Enroth 'gainst Caps on Saturday).

I say Enroth plays in Toronto Tuesday.

Thoughts?

GO SABRES!!

I would take a chance on Enroth -- the Leafs are out of the playoffs. They could display a real letdown. If that's the case, it would be a good chance to give Miller a rest. But what do I know? I just sit in front of the TV watching the games and drinking too much..

I'll take Enroth and Miller for the back to back.

Lets hope Miller stays strong like this weekend and continues it to next weekend!

Actually... I'm correcting me-self (stupid me!).

It's Saturday, not Sunday (a SAN upgrade at work last night, and I'm thinking it's already Sunday!).

So Sabres play 4-in-6, not 4-in-5 (play Tuesday & Wednesday, then it will be Thursday, Friday off, and then 5 games in 8 days to finish season, so it'll be 9 games in 14 days, then playoffs). But I don't think we want to burn out Miller.

No way do I think Toronto has a let-down, but I still think Enroth on Tuesday might be the prudent decision.

We'll see what Lindy decides... (we know he likes to ride the hot starting horse, and he gets paid the big bucks to make those decisions...).

GO SABRES!!

OK, I missed the entire evening cuz I was working a beer festival. I need a cliffnotes version of what I missed. Anyone? :D

Two nights in a row they're playing Sweet Caroline with a couple seconds left in the game. That song belongs to Boston. Can we please stop playing songs that are already associated with other teams in other cities?

No.

Huge win and nice help from the other teams,

We played one third on fire(16 shots), and then we had a sharp Miller.

I think he is becoming sharp at the right point of the season, we need him so in the playoffs to frustrate the opponents.

Love the way they played the 3rd period, instead of sitting back in a shell they kept the pressure on the Devils. POMMERS was a monster out there in the 3rd, it's good to see him being aggressive. I liked it a lot better when BOYES was between ENNIS and STAFFORD. Great game by MILLER.

Yeah the way they played the third is something very positive to see, they kept at Jersey and kept them off balance that entire period.........Miller V.2010 was great to see......

Nope.. No Volchenkov, No White.. No Trap... Ilya saying we're done. No Parise.. Tough loss last night.. Travel... Nope not happening...

This is the playoff trifecta day:

Starts with a Rangers loss, a Buffalo win and a Caolina loss. Bonus Ball: Detroit beats Toronto

I was oh so close....

I was thinking the same thing. Hecht just looked like he was lost out there when that line was on the ice. He didn't make an glaring mistakes but otherwise he went unnoticed in my eyes.

Sabres Vs Devils Highlights

Unless you're talking about specific players and how they performed.

How was the Beerfest? Were you only able to work or did you partake in the festivities?

Actually, I was hoping for a who looked good, what was controversial, and what happened to Grier kind of post but the vid link is nice too.

The beerfest was great (aren't they all?). I was a volunteer pourer for Custom Brewcrafters out of Rochester (Honeoye Falls actually). I did get to do some sampling and I had a CB's glass in front of me most of the night too. Even though I was working I managed to sample my share. And the people watching at a beerfest is top notch.

1st game back in a while. Takes a few games to get back in the flow. He was playing pretty well before he was injured.

Everyone played a pretty solid game, as surprising as it is to hear and say. There was probably only one big controversial play where Gerbe got clothes-lined/horse collared by Clarkson I believe that wasn't called.

Good pressure in the first and maintained the offensive zone.

2nd they got on their heels a bit with the 2 goal lead but defense played solid and miller was top notch.

3rd was basically just a mix of the first two. Both teams were running and gunning quickly but no one was able to bury any chances.

Gerbe still being a monster squirrel.

Hecht back looked lost but it was his first game back.

Vanek looked like he finally got a big ol' monkey off his back with the goal so hopefully he is able to turn it on now.

Miller has gone into Vezina mode just in time for the playoffs.

Yeah I am not the coach but makes sense to me to save Miller for the Rags since it's a good rivalry match up Miller vs. Henrik.

I will say I have been pretty happy with Lindy's decisions, strategy and match ups last 5-6 games so far so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.

That said it is coaches responsibility to make sure he gets Miller rest somewhere in this final push to recharge for a playoff push. He needs to show some Jack Adamship in here and make that happen before that last game 4/9 and I do not mean just that last game against Columbus. That stretch with washington 4/2 ending 4/9 against colmbus of 5 games in eight nights is key for a good smart goalie rotation plan.

So, last night was awesome. Good game good times.

I was in a suite a few down from the owners box. You could see Terry hanging out with Gilbert and some other guys. Their box was packed. Along with security. lol

So, it gets to the third period. Some lady in the box next to us stands up and start dancing, holding this Sabres hat in her hand. She singing "Gilbert! Will you sign my hat" She goes on for a few minutes until Perreault stands up (he's sitting next to TPegs, who is noticeably smiling and laughing as Perreault stands up). Gilbert leaves his box and joins the suite with the dancing gal.

So now everyone is up taking pictures, getting autographs. Not being jerks mind you, but pretty cool.

Later, after the game, I hang around until I see Gilbert leave the suite. He was nice enough to sign my jersey (yeah, I had to make up for the last time I didn't think it was right for him to sign my Drury).

So then we go to watch the post game show and have a drink. Who's walking by? JPegs. Said hi, says hi back. She was in her Pegula 4 jersey.

About the time we were leaving, low and behold here comes Gerbe. That dude is beefed up. Seems almost as tall as he is wide.

A great night, great entertainment, good times man, good times.
