gkozlows Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 During the OLN broadcast of the Sabres/Caps game last night, I heard a large group of Sabres' fans cheering. Are there alot of Sabres fans in the Washington area or was this a special trip?? At times it sounded like a game vs the Leafs at HSBC.
jayg Posted March 15, 2006 Report Posted March 15, 2006 I posted this to the game day thread. "The crowds for the Sabres at the Cap/MCI/Verizon centers have always been good. When TC scored that goal it was loud, they brought down the crowd audio very quickly. Nice to hear!" There are tons of Sabres fans at nearly every away game. So many people have left the area and remain loyal to Buffalo teams. Altalanta, Carolina and Florida usually have a lot of Buffalo fans in the arena.
Two or less Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 i wish we had some of those washington based sabres fans on the forum, i'd love to see some fan photos!
BuffalOhio Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 i wish we had some of those washington based sabres fans on the forum, i'd love to see some fan photos! I wasn't there to take photos. I was there to watch my team win the game, and I loved it!!!
Allan in MD Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 There have traditionally been large contingents of Sabres fans at games in Washington. This goes back to the earliest days of the Caps franchise. Among them, I've noted, have been groups from the Buffalo-area congressional offices.
Two or less Posted March 16, 2006 Report Posted March 16, 2006 I wasn't there to take photos. I was there to watch my team win the game, and I loved it!!! Yeah, and i guess doing both is too much of a task. I was just saying man, photos are awsome thing to show to the people back home. That's all. But yeah, sounded good on tv and we won, so who cares.
