You're not going to see any former Sabres who are currently playing. Or guys who are currently coaching elsewhere, or general managing.

I sure it wouldn't go over well with their current teams.

VANEK reminds me of VAIVE. a heavy slapshot and the willingness to absorb punishment in front of the net.

How come no Barnaby and Peca?

I'm assuming TSN needs them for the coverage of the last second playoff pushes around the league. It would be cool if they could send in a video piece to be aired during the event.

I agree, although I still find the capital letters annoying.

Any idea if Center Ice might possibly show the pregame so us out-of-towners can watch the ceremony?

Looks like everything starts at 7:15, but the game "starts" at 7:30.

I don't know for sure, but I'd be flat out stunned if they did. My guess is NFW.

Center Ice has been showing the pregame show. It's not listed on the guide, but tune to the channel 30 minutes before the game listing, and chances are they'll be showing it.

Barnaby said via twitter he is saddened he couldnt make it but has to work at TSN.

I also heard Derek Plante is coaching Minnesota Duluth hockey to the national championship game, so he can't make it.

But i heard Andrew Peters is coming....

Ted Black said during the chat room that there will be a 1 hour pre-game show tomorrow... obviously those with MSG.

I sent in a suggestion that they simulcast the entire event. I guess this is their attempt at that. I never got a thank you from Ted I guess since they aren't doing what I suggested.

I have had Center Ice through DirectTV here in Ohio for years and I've never had a pregame show. At best, the feed starts maybe a couple of minutes early, but never a full half hour or hour.

What is more likely is the post-game. Sometimes they click the feed off immediately, sometimes they leave it on. No rhyme or reason to it...it just happens, or it doesn't.

What I want to know is: Where do you live? Why do you get the pre-game show and most of us don't?

On Center Ice on Time Warner here in Raleigh, on Saturday nights we usually get the Hockey Night in Canada Pregame. I doubt we'll get tonight's Sabres pregame though.
