Somebody better escort Holzinger to the rink. If not, he might end up at the building just wide of the arena.

My flight lands at 500. I am making my parents pick me up in 2 cars so I can steal one and make it down to HSBC by 530. I am SO VERY EXCITED to be able to go to this game! Born and raised in the Aud to the likes of Ramsay, Ruttuu, Bodger, Foligno, etc. Wish I could be going to the game with my older bro, but will take pics for him nonetheless! Thank you TPegs! And thank you Sabres! :clapping:

I'm definitely disappointed Dale Hawerchuk won't be there.

I'm driving up for the game from Virginia and I'm really impressed with the list of confirmed players. Reports are already indicating at least 5-10 more alums have been added to the original 75 (Playfair mentioned Tony McKegney had accepted the invite yesterday afternoon when he was on WGR--- and also Gilbert will be there, though he's not on the list), so I hope quite a few others will be there: Foligno, Ramsey, Andreychuk, Peca, Stu Barnes, Curtis Brown, Dave Hannan, Derek Plante, Schony, Scotty Bowman, etc. The logistics of this thing is insane... I'm totally blown away by the effort and can't wait for Friday.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if Ted Nolan were there and he and Muckler hugged it out? ;)

Drury and Biron are on IR aren't they? (not sure if the Rangers would even allow them to attend) And Briere will be in the building, even if he's a scratch. The mind boggles. Should be a blast.

Glad to see that Teppo will be there.

Would have been nice to see Hannu Virta and Christian Ruuttu in the mix as well.

One guy I would love to see is Rick Dudley with the headband! I always loved the French Connection but Dudley was one of my other favorites. Notice no Don Luce or Ric Sieling? This is a great story and TP is paying for everyone to fly in. Is Paul Weiland still alive he was information director in the early years and used to play a little backup goalie in practice, and his sister was HOT.

No Dom either I guess two trips in six weeks was out of the question.

Where do you sit 80 of your closet new friends?

And I am the old one?

You're not going to see any former Sabres who are currently playing. Or guys who are currently coaching elsewhere, or general managing.

Which should rule out previously mentioned guys like Mike Foligno and Dave Andreychuk (currently working in the TB front office).

That's a shame--- I knew Andreychuk was a community representative for the Lightning, similar to Perreault's official role with the Sabres, which I thought was mostly ceremonial. But he was recently promoted to "Vice President of Fans"---- what that means exactly I'm not sure. I also didn't realize Foligno was an Assistant Coach with the Ducks--- he's a guy I would absolutely flip to see come back.

This is going to be awesome. I'm very jealous of those of you lucky enough to be attending.

I know you live out of town, but for those in B-lo AYK, the alumni will be out front walking the red carpet. You don't need a ticket to see them, maybe get an autograph, picture, have a beer. What sucks is that it's 70% chance of rain and 35 degree forecast.

I'm going. To be frank, I'm more excited about the Sabres beating the Flyers and setting up the playoff matchup than seeing old Sabres.

I would have been excited about the alums, but now, we need the Sabres to win the game. So, well, Rocky Farr, nice that you're there, but unless you're playing, we'll talk after, K?
