X. Benedict Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 I'm going to start a RICO - RICO - RICO chant tonight during the 7th minute of play to honor #7. Start when the clock hits 14:00 during gameplay of the first period. Please feel free to stand and join me. Being a nationally televised game it would be nice to show the entire league we remember our own. I dont' know if it will work, but I'd like to try.

thesportsbuff Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Awesome idea man. I wish I was going.
Swedesessed Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Even though I am not going, this is a great idea and would love to see it!
wonderbread Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Help spread the word. Thanks. to the bat phone.
Stoner Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 With the viral nature of social networks today, I say this happens!
X. Benedict Posted March 15, 2011 Author Report Posted March 15, 2011 I'm not a Twitter-er, so if anybody Twitters can you help out.
thesportsbuff Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 JPegula retweeted my post about it, hopefully that helps a little bit. I also tweeted to Harrington hoping he picks up on it.
DR HOLLIDAY Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 This is a great idea man and it should continue for every game.......They do chants like this during soccer games all the time, a lot of history for some soccer teams.
Two or less Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Ive been seeing this all over facebook and twitter people spreading the word. It's spreading like wild fire, but the arena holds 19000 people. Gotta have Harrington get a tweet out and get bulldog/schoop to mention it on their show for it to be a arena wide thing. Great idea tho!
LastPommerFan Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 My 3 year old son and I will be Chanting From Cincinnati!
X. Benedict Posted March 15, 2011 Author Report Posted March 15, 2011 And I forgot....Don't forget to stand up!!!!
IKnowPhysics Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Chanting will occur in in view of the Pacific in Redondo Beach, CA. Coast to coast for Rico's toast.

Taro T Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Awesome idea X. :worthy: I'll have to call my old man before the game tonight so he knows what the heck everyone's chanting. ;) Wish I was going to this one just for that 7th minute. Make it loud enough to hear on the Vs telecast.
Patty16 Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Great idea. Shouldnt it really be at when 7:00 mins are left on the clock for symbolic reasons? also, seems a bit easier to remember.

bunomatic Posted March 15, 2011 Report Posted March 15, 2011 Great idea and a great way to honour Rick. Hopefully it drowns out that sword of a 1000 men song.
