I follow both on Twitter and have seen them re-tweet and reply to each other, but never made the connection. I'd make a lousy detective.

Good for him. As far as I can tell the only strike against her is having to co-host a show with Colin Cowherd.

Man...I love Michelle Beadle...lucky bastard Barnaby! He alway played above his talent level...I wish he would puch out Colin Cowherd, just for the hell of it!

if the suggestion here is that barnaby "out kicked his coverage" when it comes to having ms. beadle as his special lady friend, i don't get it. i'm confident that an overwhelming majority of women (especially women who are into sports) would characterize barnaby as something of a hunk (or, in perhaps more modern parlance, a stud).

Why is anyone actually writing that story? What's next, some unknown janitor working for TBS is dating the cue card guy from the crappy George Lopez talk show that no one actually watches?

fwiw, it's been the case for some time now that espn is as interested in having its on-air personalities *be* as much of a story as the teams and players they cover.

Beadle and Barnaby are a little more well known that the janitor at TBS and the cue-card guy from the George Lopez show. She worked on numerous shows on YES (the Yankees networ) for a few years, and is amongst the most popular "personalities" at ESPN these days. And, obviously we all know who Matt Barnaby is...

I wonder how much of ESPNs core audience actually has any clue who he is.

Well, she IS a San Antonio Spurs fan, which matters to a die-hard Suns fan like me, but might not matter much if you don't care about basketball.

I don't know, but he is one of ESPNs two NHL Analysts (he and Melrose)...I would think anyone who watches ESPN would have at least have heard of him....let me ask, when Denny Greens' son, an ESPN analyst, got busted for child porn, was that a "non-story" too?

Please tell me you're not serious with that comparison.

My point was, Greens son was less well known than either Beadle or Barnaby. Probably a poor example, I was just trying to think of an ESPN personality who had made the news for something outside of sports...sorry

I guess I'm also annoyed pretty much anytime I see the "Celebrity X dating celebrity Y" stories. Why is this stuff news?

Haven't there been like a half-dozen ESPN personalities involved in sexual harassment problems and let go from the WWLS?

It's news because you are reading about it and writing about it. You are interested.

But, seriously... bestiality? I never figured Barnaby for one to lie down with an animal. A dog. Yuck.

Yes, but shrader was saying that most ESPN "core fans" wouldn't even knew who Barnaby was...so I was trying to go obscure...Green is so obscure (but I recognized him when I saw a photo) I can't even think of his first name, without google...

You are so wrong on that one...the only thing wrong with her, she shares her show with Colin Cowherd...she isn't your typical bimbo, is smart, quick witted, kinda of mean sense of humor, and you get the sense that she actually knows sports, rather than broadcasting...I think she rocks! To each his own, I guess...but you're wrong!

Baranby is making out like a bandit!
