SabresMojo Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Haha, a 20k rug can't hurt. Maybe it will remind them to keep the passes simple and when in doubt just shoot. Depends... 20,000 rug mean a lot to this team? LOL
OverPowerYou Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 See those Leaf fans standing in the third? Going nuts? Is there anything more annoying than fans getting all excited about their team possibly sneaking into the NHL playoffs? I don't mind it at all. The flyers made the playoffs last year, went to the finals, and had to earn it by barely winning their last game of the year in a long shootout.
Robviously Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 With Roy hurt, and if you get rid of Tim, who you got playing center? Buffalo had no choice but to keep him. Get over it and stop blaming him for everything. Hard to believe but maybe the goalie needs to do his job better or maybe Buffalo needs to improve the goalie position. Enroth! Don't blame Connolly for everything; blame Miller instead. Got it. <_<
SabresMojo Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Why blame one person...?? Miller lets in 4 goals...ok, why is he letting in the goals? Let the guys by, the defencemen...its not one person's fault.
donteatyellowsnow Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Don't blame Connolly for everything; blame Miller instead. Got it. <_< What's the goalies only job? In my eyes Connolly has been doing slightly better at his job than Miller has been at his. Connolly also has been doing an excellent job on the kill and 5-3 kills. Now if Miller could just do his job better this team might be ok.
Stoner Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Are you referring to Ronald Reagan? Wow, way to try to relate politics to a hockey team. By the way you are barking up the wrong tree. B.S. in Geo with minors in ENV Science and GIS. No, Nancy. B.A. in B.S. here. What's your point?
SwampD Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 There's a full-on Miller witch hunt going on. You should get on board or you'll get run over. Miller has to stop that first goal.
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 You Miller apologists are just begging for a ###### smack in the mouth. Really? Judging by the number of comments you have made in the past 5 years I'm more than convinced you watch all the games and really follow this forum. Do us all a favor and go back to watch the NBA and come back next March, Troll.
SabresMojo Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Miller has to stop that first goal. It was off the post...tough to tell considering he didnt have a clear view on it.
DR HOLLIDAY Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Miller has to stop that first goal. X-Ray vision?
SwampD Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 It was off the post...tough to tell considering he didnt have a clear view on it. It wouldn't have hit the post if his glove caught it.
donteatyellowsnow Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 It was off the post...tough to tell considering he didnt have a clear view on it. so in your eyes it's ok he got beat because it was "off the post" excuses are for losers.

SabresMojo Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 so in your eyes it's ok he got beat because it was "off the post" excuses are for losers. Im saying that as if it wouldnt hit him if he was screened. He couldnt see the shot and I bet he would have saved it if he did...

BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 No, Nancy. B.A. in B.S. here. What's your point? My point is politics are not welcomed in discussions about Hockey. It only leads to trouble, and that Reagan talk has ruined many a Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house. We probably agree on a lot of political views, but I would prefer to not have to read any of that kind of stuff here.
donteatyellowsnow Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 Im saying that as if it wouldnt hit him if he was screened. He couldnt see the shot and I bet he would have saved it if he did... I'm not so sure he would have saved it if he saw it. There have been alot of long distance shots he saw all the way that he failed to save this year.

I know he hasnt been perfect on long, seeable shots, but Miller's glove hand can be pretty nasty

Bmwolf21 Posted March 13, 2011 Report Posted March 13, 2011 You Miller apologists are just begging for a ###### smack in the mouth. Wow, what a deeply insightful, classy, well-thought-out response. A ##### smack in the mouth. Wow. Why blame one person...?? Miller lets in 4 goals...ok, why is he letting in the goals? Let the guys by, the defencemen...its not one person's fault. Here's the thing...I saw Montador with a couple bad turnovers right up the gut. Grier with a bad turnover that led to an odd-man rush. Myers wasn't solid in his own end tonight. Weber with a bad turnover in his own end. Niedermeyer skated right past Bozak on the second goal and left him alone in front. The Sabres as a group ended up running around in their own end on the second and third goals. It was a bad team effort overall. Look, do I think he had a good or even great game? No way. But given how the team played overall, this was a game you would need your goalie to stand on his head to steal it. Toronto played hard and hungry, and got Buffalo running around in their own end a few times. I don't think Miller can be faulted primarily for any of the four goals. I'd like him to stop Bozak in front of the net, and a little better anticipation maybe he gets a pad or glove on Grabovski's shot. Outside of that, well whatever. The goal off Monty? bad bounce. The MacArthur goal? I don't think he sees it until it's past him. I agree with whomever posted (Swamp?) that we were waiting for the Reimer meltdown/softie that opened the gates. It never came, although McCormick had a beautiful chance to tie it late when a rebound squirted loose but couldn't get his stick down fast enough (he had it up around his waist like a lacrosse player). Miller has to stop that first goal. He reacted like he saw it at the last second and stabbed at it. It was a great screen by Myers and the Leaf driving the net (Grabovski?) and MacArthur wired a shot in off the post. It would have been a great save. Really? Judging by the number of comments you have made in the past 5 years I'm more than convinced you watch all the games and really follow this forum. Do us all a favor and go back to watch the NBA and come back next March, Troll.

The bounce off of Monty was just unlucky, the post shot was a hell of a shot, the only one was Bozak's but like you said, you'd like him to stop that one; but what happened happened... Bad team effort? MOST DEFINITELY Nothing was really clicking and nothing was working; nor did we look like we cared...

You make your own luck, and ith the number of pucks off of skates this year, there has to be something more to it than luck. Why didn't Miller play that puck. Why didn't he cut off that pass? We see goalies do it all the time. If it never makes it to Monty's skate then it never goes in as well.
