Eleven Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 I'll make my appeal again, send Lalime packing and keep Enroth up. It's time for him to play on the A team. Play him everytime the Sabres have a back-to-back game. His time is now. He should remain for the rest of the season, with the limited call-up situation. They don't even have to cut Lalime, because I don't think there's a roster limit anymore. But... Enroth needs to be here next year and get at least 20 starts. A rested, kinda PO'd Miller will be a highly effective Miller. I still want him to get at least one more season with 50 starts in Portland. The Sabres can sign a solid backup in the offseason and return Enroth to Portland. I think. He's not subject to waivers if he stays up this season, right?
waldo Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Did you see the winning goal? Connolly won the faceoff to start OT, then worked his ass off in the Wild zone. You and Bucky. Jeez. True.

LaLime is now the backup for the Miller/Enroth combo. IMO, Enroth's had his three years in the AHL. With a SV% hovering around .912-4, he's ready. Leggio will pick up the slack in Portland.
ROC Sabres Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Also: to the ex-girlfriend who texted me the pic of her in the 'canes t-shirt today (and who probably doesn't read this board): You should have known that relationship wasn't going anywhere.

I could be wrong, but I thought I read/heard somewhere that Enroth will need to clear waivers to play in Portland next year. Help me Shrader!
Eleven Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 You should have known that relationship wasn't going anywhere. Yeah, but we tried. She was a sabres fan last year, anyway.
TheMatrix31 Posted March 7, 2011 Report Posted March 7, 2011 Enroth is ready. No need to waste time anymore.
nobody Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Yeah, but we tried. She was a sabres fan last year, anyway. I think you need to post that picture on this site to expunge the demons.
nobody Posted March 9, 2011 Report Posted March 9, 2011 Lindy leaves Connolly to center the top line. Lindy has him on the first PP unit. Lindy uses him on the PK and especially 5 on 3 against us. Unless you think Lindy is a total idiot (and this team has been playing excellent all around hockey lately), how do you explain that? He frustrates me to no end. I hope and expect TC will be gone next year, too, but he's still our best center. And not nearly as bad as people here act. He seems decent enough as a defensive specialist now - though I should probably check his +/- before I say that. But that puts him as the 3rd line center - not the 1st line center. He doesn't belong on the top line PP this year. He sure shouldn't be trying to stickhandle the puck into the zone.
