biodork Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Fortunately both the Rangers and Thrashers lost, and maybe if we're lucky the Flyers will still be missing some bodies: http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=554958
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 We wont get it done with Miller letting that **** in I hope you were talking about the 2nd goal, because he was completely screened on the game winner. This lose is on the PP units and just too many missed opportunities. Good news is they gained a point. But they have to take 7th, not 8th.
darksabre Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Thanks for showing up Miller. This team deserves 9th places. Just good enough to make the playoffs, just bad enough not to.
Wyldnwoody44 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 We tried getting to fancy on the PP again, this is true; I just hate Carolina!! :wallbash:
sabres1970 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 I don't know what to say about Miller this year. One night he saves the game, the next night be blows it. And it's not like he has no help because the sabres really did own the tempo for most of the game. Just one of those games you just have to shake your head at and if we don't make the playoffs its a game we can point to.
Stoner Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 hey PA welcome to the thread :) Been kinda busy, ya know, watching the game.
deluca67 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Luckily that was only Millers' 3rd bad goal of the night. Wait what? Triple scoop of soft-serv indeed.
87168 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 In millers defense, you aren't going to win a lot of games when you only score 2. However Ryan looked flaky tonight and just not in tune. True...but it wasn't the offense tonight, it was the goal tending. Offense got the lead twice, and a few minutes later Carolina scores. Honestly, you cant blame offense for this one...

No, if Miller were "completely" screened he wouldn't have even made contact with the puck.
BetterDays06 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 0-6 on the pp, wont win you a game :censored: . I thought miller did fine. Cant help to let in one of those with sekera screening you
LGR4GM Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Boyes should be on the top PP unit and Butler shouldnt be on any pp unit... we need leopold back badly. Well we still have 2 games in hand on Carolina and are only 2pts behind the rangers with 3 games on them so we are still ok. Miller will bounce back against philly, at least thats what my gut tell me.

Reminds me of your qoute after the Islander game. In millers defense, you aren't going to win a lot of games when you only score 6. However Ryan looked flaky tonight and just not in tune.
sabre snipe Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Carolina 3 stars... 1. Ryan miller 2. Sabres powerplay 3. Thomas vanek
Stoner Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Vanek no shots on goal tonight...Is he impersonating a ghost out there? I don't think he ever recovered from the early miss. I could really do without the glaring at the rafters while play continues.
rbochan Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 This game was ALL on Miller. He was so far out of position on the first 2 goals, then lets in a classic softie, ala the "final with Ottawa". I'm pissed.
Stoner Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 where the hell has that connolly been???????? Maybe there's something to the Boyes connection. Lindy might think so. Put them out together late on that penalty kill and it almost led to a goal.
Stoner Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 We wont get it done with Miller letting that **** in Harry says he didn't see that shot. Oh lord.
SwampD Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 0-6 on the pp, wont win you a game :censored: . I thought miller did fine. Cant help to let in one of those with sekera screening you I just watched it again and I'm pretty sure he wasn't screaned. He just missed it. He was pissed too because he didn't wait to be the last one to leave the ice like he normally does.
thesportsbuff Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Connolly only had one bad give away tonight so I think he's getting better. He & Boyes have worked well together so far.
deluca67 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 I don't think he ever recovered from the early miss. I could really do without the glaring at the rafters while play continues. Maybe the foot is worse than reported.

I think lindy will realize that after tonight. Mix up the pp lines it wont hurt. Put kaleta on the damn pp, do something :wallbash:
LGR4GM Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Reminds me of your qoute after the Islander game. Actually in the Islander game... Miller sucked gigantic balls.
PromoTheRobot Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Better see Enroth play one this weekend. Pirates were off tonight so this game would have been a good one for him. PTR
Wyldnwoody44 Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 Maybe the foot is worse than reported. IDK for 7 million a year; id like to see him hustle after an obvious miss; not stare at the ceiling feeling sorry for himself
Stoner Posted March 4, 2011 Report Posted March 4, 2011 That was a performance by 19 guys worthy of a playoff game, and a performance by one guy that belongs in the preseason. What a shame.
