Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 What the @# is wrong with you? ??
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Meant with affection. How could I doubt you?
Stoner Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Bill Hoppe Tweets: Lindy on Brad Boyes' drop in production: "He may not get back to that point. There’s a lot of guys that have dropped off." Way to go Lindy. Start infecting the guy with your dark, dismal, depressing attitude. Jesus.

... Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 So, apparently that's it for "Trade Deadline Day". Not too impressed, Darcy.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 I'm confused now. I thought that Darcy would only make a nothing move within an hour of the deadline for something that would have no possibility of helping the Sabres. Could there be something different about his situation perhaps? Naaaahhhh, he still sucks. Not saying that he's going to be Ken Holland, but I'd seen enough in the past to believe that his hands WERE tied. Hopefully we see another deal or 2 tomorrow to help some more. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ytCEuuW2_A

Please Terry, kick this guy to curb, and it can't happen fast enough. I definitely know a certain overrated coach who has dropped off :wallbash:

Robviously Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 So, apparently that's it for "Trade Deadline Day". Not too impressed, Darcy. Incredibly disappointing. They took on a salary dump from St. Louis and that's all they could accomplish. Darcy should be fired.

Booth has to be next... Florida's getting down the the point where there isn't much salary left that they can dump. Weiss and Booth may be the only people that keep them above the salary floor next season.

Weiss and Booth may be the only people that keep them above the salary floor next season. Didn't the Florida owner send out a letter to fans a year or two ago, outlining the team's comeback plan? Was all this part of it?
LabattBlue Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Didn't the Florida owner send out a letter to fans a year or two ago, outlining the team's comeback plan? Was all this part of it? That was last years trade deadline where I believe he made it seem like he was going to SELL SELL SELL!
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Well played. :censored: I didn't want to do it. I felt I would end up doing it. I did it.
korab rules Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Would everyone feel better if we had traded two roster players, our first and a prospect for Boyes? Geeze - I would have like to see Connolly go to, but what center moved today that would have filled our #1 center void? Its seems like some of you want a trade just so you have something to talk about, regardless of whether it helps the team. The three two best players exchanged in the last 24 hours were Penner, Boyes and Hemsky. We got one of them, and paid substantially less for him than was paid for the other two. Edit: Oops - Thought I saw Hemsky was moved? Was that one of the titter fakes???
shrader Posted February 28, 2011 Report Posted February 28, 2011 Didn't the Florida owner send out a letter to fans a year or two ago, outlining the team's comeback plan? Was all this part of it? All I know is that I would hate to be a fan of that team right now. They're on a Bills-like streak of missing the playoffs (pretty damn impressive in the NHL) and they won't spend a penny. The three best players exchanged in the last 24 hours were Penner, Boyes and Hemsky. We got one of them, and paid substantially less for him than was paid for the other two. Did I miss a Hemsky deal somewhere in the shuffle today?
