darksabre Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 If a team is good, they are more likely to have bandwagon fans. Steelers maybe? I'm not saying they are all bandwagoners, but I'm pretty sure even you know someone who all of a sudden is a "fan" of a certain team. For example last year my co-worker was a huge Caps fan...spoke to him on Christmas....Boston. I disagree. Bandwagon implies that fans only show up when the team is playing well and then disappear when it's not. It's the fanbase that can't fill an arena for three seasons and then has a good year and the place is packed with "fans". A shining example of bandwagon fans is pretty much anyone in a Patrick Kane jersey.
87168 Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 So they only root for the Wings when they're good? :) Do you know what bandwagoners are. Basically fans that root for a team that's currently hot. I never said the Wings were bad. I never said that ALL their fans are bandwagoners. But I can bet that some of the fans in the arena right now that are wearing red and white now, wont be wearing red and white next season.
kishoph Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Could use a couple of goals from the "scorers" on this team, they've been quiet lately.

biodork Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Could use a couple of goals from the "scorers" on this team, they've been quite lately. Quite quiet, one might even say. ;)

They had a lot of "fans" wearing Rogers jersey come playoffs that didnt own them at the beginning of the season. And as far as a Kane jersey goes...so if youre from Buffalo you cant support a local player or that would make you a bandwagoner?
NowDoYouBelieve Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Could use a couple of goals from the "scorers" on this team, they've been quite lately. Ain't that the truth. Goals by the likes of Grier and McCormick are all well and good, but it's an unsustainable trend.

So all those Sabres fans at Phoenix games are bandwagoners too? Your irrational hatred if the Redwings fanbase is wonkey.

If this is true it will be because the "fans" have sports ADD, not because the wings aren't good.
biodork Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 in his pants? try explaining that bulge?! For some reason the first image that came to mind was the scene at the end of Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.

Actully I like the red wings and their fans. Went to school in Lansing. I just dont like indecisive fans. Sorry to disappoint you.

korab rules Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 And as far as a Kane jersey goes...so if youre from Buffalo you cant support a local player or that would make you a bandwagoner? Simply speculation. Calm down. You seem to have taken that pretty personally
bunomatic Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Bandwagon fan implies someone that jumps on and off the bandwagon depending on whether the team is hot or cold. This is why they're often asked if they have an ankle sprain.
87168 Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 If this is true it will be because the "fans" have sports ADD, not because the wings aren't good. Oye vay. Jeez, you would have thought I insulted a loved one. I made one comment and you start getting all defensive. Put your sword and in its sheath. The 3rd will be starting soon.
wjag Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 20 minutes of solid hockey is necessary. 3-3 in Montreal after 2...

And as far as a Kane jersey goes...so if youre from Buffalo you cant support a local player or that would make you a bandwagoner? Are you this dumb? A person can't replace their Favre jersey with a Rodgers jersey? That's not possible right? If they own a Rodgers jersey they obviously aren't real fans? I'm not talking about Buffalonians wearing Kane jerseys, I'm talking about anyone who has jumped on the Blackhawks recent success. You'd have a hard time finding a Blackhawks fan who remembers Lalime playing there.
ROC Sabres Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 20 minutes of solid hockey is necessary. 3-3 in Montreal after 2... I would take an OT loss by Carolina to get us within 2. As long as we don't "Alamo" this one against a stronger team.

Im referring to the people sporting Rogers jersey that had no Packers paraphernalia pre post season. Now stop calling people names, calm down and watch the game.
wjag Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Don't like the first four minutes. Detroit is schooling them at the moment.
Weave Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 Do fans of a team that's been winning for over 15 years even have a bandwagon? That's a non-stop train right there. At this point I think fans following Detroit are watching their children travel to opposing arenas to watch them win.
wjag Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 The Blue Light commercials are just plain bad...
Calvin Posted February 27, 2011 Report Posted February 27, 2011 that was a much-required unofficial time out
