IKnowPhysics Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Pegula now owns the Bandits; has never been to a game. Big deal/no big deal?

bills_fan_in_raleigh Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 i would love a wny regional sport network to watch the bandits they have multiple championships as well
Taro T Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Is there an alternate universe of Bandit fans who are mad today? Maybe somewhere, but this Bandit fan isn't mad at all.
Two or less Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Pegula now owns the Bandits; has never been to a game. Big deal/no big deal? That's just as important to me as me wondering if he ate a jelly or buttercream donut this morning before the conference.

JohnRobertEichel Posted February 22, 2011 Report Posted February 22, 2011 Is there an alternate universe of Bandit fans who are mad today? I am a big fan of the Bandits. And no, I am not mad at all. Most long-time WNY'ers don't even know that there's a professional lacrosse league, or that Buffalo has a team in it, or that Buffalo's team is one of the most successful in league history. As long as Pegula keeps the Bandits in existence and stays out of Kilgour's way in building the team and winning championships, who can complain? I think, though, that Pegula will become a big fan as soon as he goes to a game. The atmosphere at a Bandits game is typically much livelier than a Sabres game...especially these days.
ROC Sabres Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 did he go to tim hortons or dunkin? If he didn't go to Timmy ho's then we can start the "I hate terry pegula" threads for not being a sabres only kind-a-guy.

What Bandit fans should be more offended by is local sports fans who say Buffalo deserves a champion and completely ignore the 4 titles won by the Bandits. As for Pegula his dream wasn't to own the Bandits so cut him some slack. But I wouldn't worry much about TP getting in GM Kilgour's way. If anything the Bandits will enjoy many of the improvements Pegula plans for the Sabres. PTR
nobody Posted February 23, 2011 Report Posted February 23, 2011 At the very least - nothing will change for the Bandits. So they will be just as competitive as they have been. Anything more will be gravy for that team - they can only get better.
