thesportsbuff Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 No, it's your turn to provide relevant stats, son. Go, boy, go. i have no idea where i'd look to find that stat, my memory serves me well enough. carolina reclaims the lead
Iron Crotch Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Maybe we can pick up Carmelo at the deadline! Oh, wait a minute...
JujuFish Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 i have no idea where i'd look to find that stat, my memory serves me well enough. carolina reclaims the lead Neither do I, hence why I put the job off onto you. ;)
JujuFish Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 i have no idea where i'd look to find that stat, my memory serves me well enough. Well, I was bored, so I glanced through the Sabres' schedule on ESPN from those two seasons. In 05-06, Buffalo did not win a single game when down by 2 in the 3rd period. In 06-07, Buffalo won 3 such games, 2 of which were 3 goal deficits and one comeback happened in the final 5 minutes. For reference, here's the games: http://espn.go.com/nhl/recap?gameId=261006002 (2 goal comeback in last 5 minutes) http://espn.go.com/nhl/recap?gameId=261102001 (3 goal comeback) http://espn.go.com/nhl/recap?gameId=270323002 (3 goal comeback) Yes, yes I was bored.
calti Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Thanks, but don't bother on my account. I'm pouring myself one last drink and putting on some Miles Davis to get the taste of this game out of my mouth. so what
CallawaySabres Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Just went to the Barbill for some wings after the game and thought...there is something very flawed in the mentality of this team and even a win vs the Caps won't change that. Mr. Pegula, Feel free to rip at every seam if you like. Two best things sports related for the next 6 months in Buffalo - Terry Pegula press conference on Tuesday and the revealing of the Bills new unis.
darksabre Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 That was the single worst hockey game I have ever seen. Ever. I've seen peewee hockey players during intermissions try harder. The only thing that makes a team play that indifferently is coaching. Fire Lindy Ruff.

Now they can't get out of their own way. There are other issues afoot. PTR

I don't care how bad you suck as a player, you should at least be motivated to provide a solid effort. If Lindy can't motivate bad players then why let him unmotivate good ones? Screw it; I've had enough.

Screw it; I've had enough. That's what a lot of Sabres fans are feeling right now. Kind of explains why the arena is so quiet these days. Why should the fans get excited if the ###### team can't even get it up for a couple home games against easy teams? ######! We should be in the 8th spot right now, banging down the door of the Rangers, Canadiens, and Caps.
nucci Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Anyone else notice that Rayzor is sharing the area between the benches with Bernie Federko? I had both feeds on DirecTV and St Louis does the same thing as the Sabres but I thought only the home team gets a guy between the benches.

That was a real sh*t stain of a game. Disagree it's time to fire Ruff.

Then there's the media arrogance. Mike Harrington's game blog was titled "Sabres vs. Laffs." WGR yesterday morning had a segment where they argued St. Louis is the most irrelevant team for the Sabres in the league. 0-2.

Its arrogant for our fans to think we're above this leafs team. Everyone says they are a joke but last I looked they were only 2 points below us. The sabres are in the same boat. And it seems to be taking on water.
carpandean Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 last I looked they were only 2 points below us. You should look more often; they're 4 below. Not that 2 more points makes your argument any less valid. ;)
Stoner Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 You should look more often; they're 4 below. Not that 2 more points makes your argument any less valid. ;) Shouldn't you be saying the Leafs are six back?
carpandean Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 Shouldn't you be saying the Leafs are six back? I would say that they are 4-6 back through 58GP, depending on what the Sabres do with their 58th game.
LGR4GM Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 I think they miss the steadying influence of Larry Quinn. Thats a joke right? Or do you mean the complacent :censored: boringness of Larry Quinn?
LGR4GM Posted February 19, 2011 Report Posted February 19, 2011 That game was awesome! It had hitting (I bashed my head against the wall) It had scoring (i scored because my gf felt sad for me) and it had great play from our hometeam the awesome sabres! (they played with themselves instead of playing hockey). :death:
