Anybody see Lalime laughing it up on the bench? This team needs to be blown up.

He knows he has played his last game already as a Sabre.

Well, Ty Conklin owns this team. He is now 7-1 against them. Seems like this team is done at home if they don't score first.

With that "Night of the Living Dead" performance by our forwards, Granny Clampett could own this team.

I was at a Starbucks last Saturday and saw three high-schoolers sitting there with their SAT prep books. Those things were the size of the Manhattan phone book. So glad i'll never have to worry about that crap any more (I'm closer to the age of trying to figure out Medicaid and Medicare forms). but frankly, I'm too lazy to check out 13 years of home v. road records. I thought you'd have 'em. You regulars seem to have all kinds of stats at your fingertips.

As far as this game is concerned, the team looks so lethargic that I can't imagine them rallying to win in the last 10 minutes. I also can't imagine them beating the Caps on Sunday.

OK, right off the top, there's such a thing as defending your home ice in an elimination game. Washington in OT, Dallas in OT, Pittsburgh in OT, Ottawa in OT. Sens beat the Sabres in 05, must have been 10-3 or 4. Give me time. I'll build the case. I'm putting on a pot of coffee.

Was there a trade I didn't hear about?

umm no. I just realized we play the Caps haha I thought we played the Habs for some reason.

It's not lack of effort. I really think they are trying. They are just plain AWFUL.

I almost never use the lack of effort card. Tonight it really, really looked that way.

Thanks, but don't bother on my account. I'm pouring myself one last drink and putting on some Miles Davis to get the taste of this game out of my mouth.

Well that sure wasn't a very pleasurable game of hockey to watch.

2 games in row now at home like that. Sure kills any illusion that this team is any good.

This is just not a playoff hockey team.

i hope someone wakes Darcy up to the path of brian burke who said today he doesn't have a playoff-caliber team and they would get their ###### kicked in the first round - this is not a playoff caliber team. sell some assets, and get a couple of picks or kids back....then again, who on this roster would fetch that in return anyway.......this sucks.

I'll have to watch it again and look for that. All I saw was just how bad our D was tonight (and has been for some time). They are a hot mess.

And can someone tell the team that there are shots other than the slapshot, especially on the PP. God that gets old.

No, 05/06 was the year they came back and won countless games in the third period. 06/07 they didn't have to come back much.

06/07 Buffalo lead the league in winning percentage when trailing first (18-11-5), and had the 2nd most wins overall when trailing first (behind Montreal's 19).

Trailing first doesn't mean trailing going into the third period. Go fetch the stats from 05-06 wins when trailing after 2. go boy, go.

No, it's your turn to provide relevant stats, son. Go, boy, go.

Two minutes left. One Blue holds the puck against the boards in the corner to Miller's right. Kaleta pinned him. Sekera and Myers just stood by.
