BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 That league high shortie against really really hurts.
Iron Crotch Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Urgh. The Leafs are only 4 behind us in the standings. We can't afford too many more of these down the stretch...
biodork Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Blargh. Too many missed scoring chances come back to haunt them.
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 On directtv the msg channel is 638, the hd channel is 638-1. Don't know if that helps. Thanks, but I live in the "North Country" and have Charter Cable, a company I never heard of until I moved up here. Only get about 30 HD channels.
thesportsbuff Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 lol miller played pretty good tonight but wow is it really necessary to come 25 feet out of the net when a guy is coming 1-on-2 shorthanded against two defensemen? Yeah the defensemen totally botched it but wtf was he thinking?? Reminds me of the shorty Satan scored on us the playoffs last year.
mrjsbu96 Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Jerry Sullivan doesn't know crap about hockey, but he is right about this team - they do enough to make it interesting and pull you back, but in the end, they are a pretender and a borderline playoff team. You just can't lose to the Islanders and Leafs when you are trying to make the playoff run - you just can't. The last I saw CAR was losing as well....I just don't get it...
Weave Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 One step forward...... aaaaand one step back.
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Blargh. Too many missed scoring chances come back to haunt them. Would have been a completely different game if Ennis scored instead of hitting the post in the opening minutes. Not that I'm blaming him for the lose because they had plenty of chances to win this game.

deluca67 Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Don't look now, but the Devils are only 10pts behind the Sabres right now. The Sabres missed out on a chance for three accomplishments tonight. Tieing for 8th place, hitting the .500 mark and becoming a plus team in goal differential.
87168 Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 lindy needs to really reevaluate his D and give his shooters more ice time. Grier-BENCH Kaleta-BENCH Connelly-BENCH Morrisson-BENCH. Byron needs more time and so does Ennis. Gerbe I feel is on the wrong line. He's too fast for his current line and he's a handler, same with Ennis.

Ennis lost the puck countless times in the zone tonight. Countless. Fans like him because he is flashy, but if he wore number 61 tonight instead of 63, people would want him burned at the stake.

This team has the 4th Best record in the NHL since Jan. 1st. Yes, they shouldn't have lost to the Islanders and Leafs, but no one wins every game. It amazes me how quickly people turn on this team. They are two points behind with two games in hand. Buffalo Fans are Fing Crazy.
Fifty Mission Cap Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Wow. Tim Connolly is awful. So. Awful. Anyone else think he's locker room poison?
repster Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Hell froze over tonight at the HSBC arena. Maybe the Loser fans finally gave up and stayed home? They played like they had a point to prove.. but even a blind squirrel can find a nut sometimes right? 3 powerplays in the first and no dice - gave the Losers some confidence. Nothing I hate more than losing to this joke of a team, glad it doesn't happen too often.

You are right my friend, Buffalo fans (and most fans) turn way too quickly, but it is a different story if they are comfortably in the playoffs and lose to NYI and TOR - it is another story when you are battling for that spot. I do love the younger guys gaining the valuable experience, but until they prove otherwise they are pretenders. I hate saying it, but after tonight I finally believe it...
darksabre Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Buffalo Fans are Fing Crazy. For some reason I feel like you already knew that.
Stoner Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 I don't hear the usual Leaf fan madness, even though they're up. Must be because I'm watching via MSG rather than being there. Yeah but the mics suddenly started working after the Sabres killed that two-man. Weird.
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Maybe Buffalo Fans have seen this story play out before. Oh, is that it? Is that why HSBC is one of the quietest arenas in the league? So sick of people jumping on and off the band wagon. Get over Wide Right, and In the Crease. People expect them to win every game, but it time to realize that's not possible. This is a good team that is playing well. They won't just make the playoffs, but will probably catch the Rangers and take the 6th spot. They aren't going to win the cup this year, but may end up playing the Caps or Lighting and win a round in the tournament. And they are only going to get better the next three seasons.
Stoner Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 What the hell was Miller doing? Good question. It's more fun to blame Connolly.

Stoner Posted February 17, 2011 Report Posted February 17, 2011 Needed a faceoff win from Gaustad late. I wonder how good Gaustad really is in crunch time. Home record is terrible. Maddening.
