  1. 1. Is Drew Stafford's recent performance the result of him looking for a payday or is he actually becoming the player we thought he would?

Boston.

Yes, he had a hattie in an early season game against a good defensive team that was beating the Sabres (who were 12 points or so out of the playoffs at the time) by 4 goals and went to sleep. Not exactly a crunch-time performance, IMHO. Are you sold on him?

December 15 and January 1. They won the former 3-2 because of Stafford's hatty and the latter in a shootout after Stafford tied it with 28 seconds left.

Also, it has to be said that if you're relying on "Boston" as proof that he's arrived, it wasn't that long ago that he was healthy-scratched in the playoffs against Boston.

Nice memory you've got there. Your errors have already been pointed out so I won't get into that. Instead, I will say that you implied he only scored goals against crappy, no-defense teams. His domination against Boston doesn't count? Or are you saying Boston isn't a physical and excellent defensive team.

I'm not ready to say I'm sold on him yet, but he's doing a good job of trying to convince me. It's going to take a little more though. :nana:

Well, there is no question about his talent, it just comes down to how much he wants to make money vs how much he wants to win the cup and be the best player he can be
