shrader Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Thanks ....found it http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=355208 Looks like Atlanta might be thinking they are out. I was raking my brain for Maxwell. Just so you know, you posted the link to Orpik being out.
Eleven Posted February 24, 2011 Author Report Posted February 24, 2011 Ok, this is a pretty funny send-up of the Dallas-Pittsburgh deal: http://www.pegasusnews.com/news/2011/feb/24/thursday-morning-cupcheck-talking-trades-twitter/

nfreeman Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Not worth its own thread (as I continue to wage my lonely battle against redundant thread proliferation), but Steve Bernier was waived by the Panthers: linkage. That's 4 teams that have now given up on him in less than 6 NHL seasons. He's a 25-year-old forward with size and some skill -- there must be something wrong upstairs.

Was this another big body Darcy let slip away and LR didn't know how to use?
MattPie Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Was this another big body Darcy let slip away and LR didn't know how to use? Yes, it was. Lindy must have RUINED him for all time.

So the Ballard trade boils down to him for a late 1st? Terrible job by the Panthers.
X. Benedict Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Was this another big body Darcy let slip away and LR didn't know how to use? He is just built for the half-court offense, not today's up and down skating. I'm still surprised to see him waived, though. You have to worry about the way Florida is trying to dump salary. But the opportunist says.....how much is Steve Wiess?
Lanny Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 DarrenDreger Stillman to Carolina for Ryan Carter and a 5th round pick in 2011

JJFIVEOH Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 DarrenDreger Stillman to Carolina for Ryan Carter and a 5th round pick in 2011 Went to TSN and the main page had a picture of Miller. Didn't know what to think for a second until I realized it was Stillman that got moved.
wjag Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Is it just me or are there more trades leading up to the trade deadline this year than in years past?
ROC Sabres Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Is it just me or are there more trades leading up to the trade deadline this year than in years past? Seems like it to me too.
thesportsbuff Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Is it just me or are there more trades leading up to the trade deadline this year than in years past? Way more. Bigger ones, too. I expect deadline day to be less exciting than last year because all the deals will have already been made while Darcy sat around scratching his ass.
notwoz Posted February 24, 2011 Report Posted February 24, 2011 Is it just me or are there more trades leading up to the trade deadline this year than in years past? Seems that more GMs are being active earlier. Don't know if it's a trend or an aberration. However, there are one or two exceptions.:wallbash:
Eleven Posted February 25, 2011 Author Report Posted February 25, 2011 Was this another big body Darcy let slip away and LR didn't know how to use? Yes, it was. Lindy must have RUINED him for all time. Love it.
FogBat Posted February 25, 2011 Report Posted February 25, 2011 They're putting the band back together! Lovely... <_< As long as Brind'Amour doesn't come out of retirement, that's better for us.
dumb_dumb88 Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Alot of players being waived this weekend, some being picked up. Alot of activity right now.
dumb_dumb88 Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 I wouldn't mind picking up Schremp on waivers. He's dirt cheap and a center. I think Lindy could turn his game around defensively. He was banished to 4th line duties while with the Islanders. He did see some 2nd PP unit time, but mainly on the point. I think this kid was mis used heavily. Couldn't hurt as his contract comes to an end at seasons end. Just something to try at that center position short term with no risk and very little cost.
darksabre Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Ty Conklin on waivers? Come on Darcy, fix this mistake!
Tom Backyard Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Rangers and Panthers deal. Kennedy and a third-rounder to Panthers for their captain Bryan McCabe My link

will Posted February 26, 2011 Report Posted February 26, 2011 Wow the rangers are making moves... hey maybe we could send them connolly and get Dubinsky whos a RFA back... thats not selling thats investing... and to the rangers, it would be rape. or is it "forcible rape?" "let's ship out 19 goals, 43 points, and youth for 8, 26, and a glass jaw!"
