Calvin Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 That only works in the early EASports NHL games. well, Hecht had one of those against the Sens recently.. then again, the Sens are barely a NHL team nowadays
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 That second period was one of the worst of the year if not the worst. You would think it was the pens who were playing for their playoff lives. I guess you didn't watch those Islander games then. Typical Sabres. One good period, one horrible, and hopefully they can put a decent one together. At least get to overtime so they don't waste this chance to get some points while Atlanta and Carolina are off.
deluca67 Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 well, Hecht had one of those against the Sens recently.. then again, the Sens are barely a NHL team nowadays Trading Heatly killed that team. Much like what happened here with Hasek.
wjag Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 It is amazing to see how easy it is to push these Sabres off the puck.
Iron Crotch Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 It is amazing to see how easy it is to push these Sabres off the puck. Yeah, I'm definitely looking forward to seeing guys like Kassian and Foligno in the lineup in the not-too-distant future.
deluca67 Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 It is amazing to see how easy it is to push these Sabres off the puck. Why?
Iron Crotch Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 Another penalty on us? There's a shock...
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 I can't believe TEnnis hasn't scored tonight.
Iron Crotch Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 2 minutes left, down a goal... why the hell is the Niedermayer, Grier line out there? Urgh.
wjag Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 This team tries way too many weak backhands
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 2 minutes left, down a goal... why the hell is the Niedermayer, Grier line out there? Urgh. You mean the only line that has scored tonight?
Iron Crotch Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 You mean the only line that has scored tonight? I see your point, but Nieds and Grier have a combined 3 goals between them. Clearly not our best offensive option.
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 Well take solace in the fact that we all know if the Sabres had won tonight, they would have just gotten blown out by the Leafs tomorrow.
notwoz Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 Wow, the Sabres give up a 2-goal lead and lose the game! I never would have thought it. Let's hope Pagula has a clue, because no one in the organization seems to have one.
nobody Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 Pens played much better after Malkin left. Kinda like how the Sabres play better without Connolly.
deluca67 Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 Florida wins and the Sabres drop one in the standings. The Leafs have a chance to pull within 2pts of the Sabres tomorrow night.
Stoner Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 RJ has his "homer" voice on big-time tonight. Is he trying to make "the list." Have to agree. i said that to myself a few times. One I hate is this: the opposition ices it and he has absolutely no idea what (offending player) was thinking. Never says it about the Sabres. Bush league.
Stoner Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 Another penalty on us? There's a shock... Was that the one Lindy was crying about, when Ennis put his stick right in the Penguin's face? What a tool. Lindy, not Tyler. And, holy cow, pull the goalie!

And, holy cow, pull the goalie! If Lindy is even close to being the coach people on this board say he is then Tim Connolly never sees the ice again as a Buffalo Sabre.
dumb_dumb88 Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 Interesting game. Buffalo needs size in it's line up. And not only size, but size with some passion to do the dirty work that is needed. Stafford made an effort tonight, I thought Byron wasn't skilled enough at the NHL level as of yet to position himself properly. Ennis, what is there to say here, he needs to bury the multiple chances infront of the net he had this game. But, such is life in the NHL. I enjoyed the contest, and enjoyed the effort by some of the players. I must say on a final note, and I've read this board for a few years now, but some of you are advocating trading Miller. I have to say, I do agree with this line of thinking. Outside of last season, he has never impressed me. I'm not one to promote such a move by the team, but in this case, I would like to move on from Miller if it is possible.
korab rules Posted February 5, 2011 Report Posted February 5, 2011 Ennis, Gerbe and, Byron have to step up on a stool to brush their teeth before bedtime. Fixed that for you.
