X. Benedict Posted January 31, 2011 Report Posted January 31, 2011 Keep an eye on this man in the next months http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_Botterill http://penguins.nhl.com/club/page.htm?id=56243 http://image36.webshots.com/37/1/55/10/2769155100091496138QYyYnr_ph.jpg http://www.sabresalumni.com/playerprofile.php?playerid=10328
deluca67 Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 A young guy who is not that far removed from playing in the league. Could be a huge plus. I see the lines being drawn in the ice. Young upstart vs. the established name with a Stanley Cup pedigree. This can one the most interesting off-seasons in a while. We might want to collector some money for SDS to go towards some additional server space.
Two or less Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 Would love him in the front office, not so much as GM but first thing of order is who will hire him.... Craig Patrick?
inkman Posted February 1, 2011 Report Posted February 1, 2011 Liked him as an amerk love him as a Sabre

Unless I could be convinced Botterill was a key part of the Penguins' success, I probably wouldn't like this move. Smells a bit too much like the Sabres hiring Regier back in 1997. A young, unproven (read: cheap) assistant. Former Sabre aspect of it really rubs me the wrong way too.
