bob_sauve28 Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 LOL, that is perfect.......my contribution is Niedstoplayfortheleafs...... Huge disappointment this year...... And yet Lindy puts him on a line with possibly our most dynamic offensive player? WTF??
Weave Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Can anyone give me a rational reason why Cody McCormick (7 goals and high energy) was nailed to the bench and had no shifts in the 3rd period while Niedermayer (0 goals and nothing else of substance) played 7 shifts?

Paper says Lindy says he fell ill during the game and as it progressed was to ill to play.

He had the flu i.e. comin' out both ends... Not playing Sunday: Kaleta (hand), Connolly (hip flexor) and Stafford (groin). McCormick questionable. Playing Sunday: Miller per Hoppe
OverPowerYou Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 He had the flu i.e. comin' out both ends... Not playing Sunday: Kaleta (hand), Connolly (hip flexor) and Stafford (groin). McCormick questionable. Playing Sunday: Miller per Hoppe I find it funny that Miller's day of rest involves playing the first 10 minutes and getting pulled from the game.

Stoner Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Well, how the hell am I supposed to get irrationally angry at the team for that? If I were you, I'd claim that the flu is just Lindy's cover story, and Cody is too embarrassed about getting inexplicably benched to say anything. We all know Lindy hates talent, especially talent that scores goals, so somehow he had to slow Cody down.

And probably true cause we can't have Cody outpacing Timmy and Pominville and making DR look bad, that's almost 10 mil reasons right there.
kishoph Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 And yet Lindy puts him on a line with possibly our most dynamic offensive player? WTF?? GRIER ? j/k
bob_sauve28 Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 GRIER ? j/k No, Ennis is dragging along that ball and chain
rbochan Posted January 22, 2011 Report Posted January 22, 2011 Well, how the hell am I supposed to get irrationally angry at the team for that? Lindy coached the ###### out of him.
spndnchz Posted January 22, 2011 Author Report Posted January 22, 2011 Quick thought. Does the current injury situation mean we can "emergency" recall Kassian?
nobody Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Quick thought. Does the current injury situation mean we can "emergency" recall Kassian? If only.
carpandean Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Quick thought. Does the current injury situation mean we can "emergency" recall Kassian? Interesting questions. Even though they have eight roster defensemen, with Roy, Stafford, Kaleta, and Connolly out, they only have 17 roster skaters (9 forward, 8 defensemen.) I haven't looked at the rule lately, but I believe that 18 roster skaters is the standard, but I don't remember if you have to make a certain number of AHL callups before you can reach into juniors.
RR61 Posted January 24, 2011 Report Posted January 24, 2011 Anyone miss Connolly in this game? yeah me neither
