When this game was 2-0 I believed the sabres were going to come back. Then the goaltender that can't win games let in the 3-0 goal. My original comment was based on that. At that point in the game they were carrying the play. No reason to believe when down 2-0 and carrying the play that if you have a goaltender who can stop a puck he gives your team a chance to come back and win it. Just my opinion.

still confused.

Here we go. Nieds (Neids?) with a hat-trick, Hecht with the OT winner.

The best prediction involving "Nieds" would be retirement following this season. He clearly has about as much in the tank as Grier. I apologize in advance for the negative tone but, I sometimes envy these bottom tier teams that go with a full youth movement because they're just a more exciting way to watch the same result.

How do we even know what Lalime can do? He never plays? And, not going to lie....if I wasn't used at my job, I probably won't always be on my game. How great are at "Are you Smarter Than a 5th Grader?"

In any event, Lalime is the LAST of our team's problems. How many games has Miller been stellar in? I cannot really think of any this year. He has been pretty weak. And, as noted in another post (yes, I will find it if you need me to), the numbers Miller is putting up this year are par for the course for him.

I think fingers need to be pointing to people like: Hecht, Grier, Myers, Ennis, Rivet, etc....

Well I'd like to believe I am smarter than a fifth grader but there's really no point in insulting other posters on here simply because they have a different opinion than yourself. I believe that goes against the spirit of this message board. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm sure you'll point that out.

And the comparison was lost. When things are not constantly practiced or reinforced, then we lose what we once knew. So, for example, if I went onto "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" I would most likely not win all of the money because I have forgotten things I have learned when I was in 5th grade. THAT WAS MY POINT! Not that I was insulting you. I was saying: How do we even know what Lalime can do since he never really plays and, since he plays once every lunar eclipse, how can one expect him to be on top of his game?

Get over yourself. YOU made my analogy into an insult, not me.

ROTFL. Well, I think it is this: IF Miller was in net, we could come back from 2-0 because he let in 2 goals and could overcome that. BUT, since Lalime is net and let in another goal, we could NOT overcome that. Riiiiiight.

You are missing one very important fact. To use your analogy, when Lalime was in 5th grade, he wasn't smarter than a kindergartner.

Which might very well be the case, but...as I have watched professional sport my entire life, it it MORE THAN EVIDENT, one does not have to be smart to be a pro athelete ;)

With the notable exception of Ron Darling, if you are not "Smarter than a Pro Athlete" you need to get to Gates.

Its obvious what Lalime can do. He's done it since he was brought in as a backup. He loses games. Back-ups typically get in every 8-10 games or so. Its the same throughout the league. The reason Ruff is riding Miller is he has no trust in the back-up that can't win games. I wouldn't put him in either. And go back and read your post about the 5th grader show and tell me how a guys supposed to get your comparison with the way you worded it? Get over yourself.

Sure that makes sense

4th goal was a stinker by Lalime. Looks to me that 3 outta 4 goals were cause of lousy goaltending! Uuugggggg! He sucks !

Miller plays this game and we have a shot, it would probably be 2-2 right now.
