R_Dudley Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Tough game on the road against the top team in our division which leads league with lowest GAA per game. Need our best players to be our best players and play smart in our own end, No gimmee's. We need Miller to out duel Tim Thomas. Get us to the SO where TV, Pommers and Ennis take 2 out of 3 and Ryan only allows 1. Lets Go Buf'a'lo make it so.
CallawaySabres Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 If these guys could ever break that ever elusive 8 point barrier, it could go a looooong way. Revenge on the Isles for the next two and who knows....tonight is the key to it all. Bruins have been tearing it up so hopefully the more desperate team (and not the more talented one) wins......
bunomatic Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 B's have lowest goals against in league. Thomas is on fire. And we have no centres left that can put points up. Also in response to above post the Bruins always play desperate. That being said, GO SABRES !
nfreeman Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 I was surprised to read this morning that Boston is #7 in the NHL in scoring. Looking at their stats, they have a very balanced group of scoring forwards, 6 of whom have 28 points or more (and that doesn't include Savard, who's again missed significant time with injuries). The Sabres have 2 forwards with 28 points or more, one of whom is out for the year. The Sabres can beat Boston, but they will need to play very well and not have the breakdowns we saw against the Islanders.

Also in response to above post the Bruins always play desperate. That being said, GO SABRES ! And yet we potted 7 goals on them last time. Anything can happen. :)

Also in response to above post the Bruins always play desperate. That being said, GO SABRES ! The Sabres have to flirt with goaltender interence all night long. It might even be worth getting called for it once or twice to get under Thomas' skin. I also want a 7 - 6 game.
Robviously Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 I'm excited to see Gragnani play again. The guy has some potential but has never really been given a shot.
spndnchz Posted January 20, 2011 Author Report Posted January 20, 2011 Rask off the ice first at the morning skate. Prolly means he's starting.
kishoph Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Rask off the ice first at the morning skate. Prolly means he's starting. I think I rather have them face RASK, even though he's probably fresh, THOMAS has played great this season.
Stoner Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 I think I rather have them face RASK, even though he's probably fresh, THOMAS has played great this season. Right, Miller should be able to outplay Rask.
CallawaySabres Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Can Lindy just order Connolly to take out chara's knee? It's not like the suspension would hurt the Sabres or anything.....
PromoTheRobot Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Expecting 20+ from the Boston Bills Backers group in sec 318. There will be pre-game quaffing of adult beverages across the street at The Harp on Causeway St. PTR
Robviously Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Fun facts: After 45 games, Steve Montador leads the Sabres in +/- with a +11 rating. Mike Weber is second best on the team with +8 (how many people saw that coming?). After that it's a trainwreck: Gaustad (+5), McCormick (+3), Gerbe (+2), and Grier/Colin Stuart/Kaleta at +1. Everyone else is in the red.
BuffaTB Posted January 20, 2011 Report Posted January 20, 2011 Can Lindy just order Connolly to take out chara's knee? It's not like the suspension would hurt the Sabres or anything..... I think the puck off of Jochen's stick will take care of that, eventually (hopefully)...
kishoph Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 A win tonight could set them up for a nice little winning streak, with the Islander games coming up.
BuffaloFansR_Crazy Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 Let's go boys! Chase Rask out of here again!
spndnchz Posted January 21, 2011 Author Report Posted January 21, 2011 Gragnani needs to move his feet more.
darksabre Posted January 21, 2011 Report Posted January 21, 2011 Connolly needs to be shot in the head.
