kishoph Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 There were no Buffalo SABRES elected to this years All-Star game. Do you feel that anyone was snubbed ? TYLER ENNIS did make the rookie squad. http://www.nhl.com/ice/page.htm?id=66980

Two or less Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Who cares at this point. I'd rather not watch the Sidney Crosby allstars vs the western allstars anyways. It's not East vs. West anymore. Sporting News says there is a very large list of players who told NHL when asked to not include them due to injuries.... Luongo is one of them, i'm guessing Ryan Miller is another since he's been a work horse and could use the days off.

deluca67 Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Yep, they are picking teams sandlot style. Which would explain why Crosby wouldn't pick Miller. You want the kid you own to be in the other net.

Two or less Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Btw, can anyone explain to me how Patrick Elias made this team?
inkman Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Btw, can anyone explain to me how Patrick Elias made this team? Knee pads?

Luongo himself said he didn't and mng't didn't say anything about NOT wanting to go.
Weave Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 None of the Sabres slobs deserved to be on an all star roster. It would've been a travesty if one was put on the roster.
Two or less Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Luongo himself said he didn't and mng't didn't say anything about NOT wanting to go. Not sure i buy it. How could they get Fleury, Ward or Lundqvist instead of him?
JujuFish Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Roy was really the only possible candidate we had and he's injured, so....
carpandean Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 Roy was really the only possible candidate we had and he's injured, so.... Yup. Vanek's getting there, again, but had a slow start. So, how long did that "every team gets at least one player" rule last, anyway? I remember there being a couple of those "well, he's their best player, but not an All-Star" cases.
wonderbread Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 None of the Sabres slobs deserved to be on an all star roster. It would've been a travesty if one was put on the roster. Agreed but slobs is not the appropriate term.
Fire Lindy Ruff NOW Posted January 11, 2011 Report Posted January 11, 2011 i dunno how phil kessel made the all star team. i mean hes pretty good but not great this year. speaking of which toronto is startin to make some noise. lots of solid players i wouldnt be suprised to see them make a run at the playoffs.
bunomatic Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Ennis will be there among rookies. Has anyone else played good enough to be there? It says something when the captains won't even pick a sabre to go.
Two or less Posted January 12, 2011 Report Posted January 12, 2011 Ennis will be there among rookies. Has anyone else played good enough to be there? It says something when the captains won't even pick a sabre to go. Jordan Leopold. A few of the guys who got in have slight more points then him and some even less. But, it's hard to ignore him as he is 4th among d-men in goals. I didn't think Mike Green should of made it and Duncan Keith got voted in so he was a lock despite not deserving it either. Erik Karlsson is iffy too, very similar to Leopold besides the much worse +/-.
