I really like Kevin Sylvester as PBP. When he makes a mistake, he knows it and is modest enough to admit it or be corrected.

Maybe next year RJ home games KS away? We gotta keep RJ fresh for the '13 Cup run.

Rick on TV, someone else on radio?

What's the logic of the simulcast beyond pinching pennies? One voice? As you've mentioned Rick's ego is not that big. Or is it?

I want to remind everyone that the Sharks aren't great this year. This is a should win.

I guess we need to remind you that the Sabres aren't good this year. This was a good win.

I went out, had a bunch of drinks, then got home just in time to see the beautiful play on that Vanek goal. I quickly passed out after that. Oh well, can't complain about what I saw at all.

Good win for the Sabres, but it should be noted that SJ really didn't show up for this one.

So, we played better than they did and won and it is still not good enough?

One of the most complete wins of the year.

I'm actually liking the shorter bench at forward.

So did they at least give Harry Neale 1st Star for his two amazing jokes last night? In true Harry Neale fashion, the cemetery run joke was completely out of nowhere, and the vasectomy one was simply amazing to hear from his mouth. Here's to you Harry!

I'm happy they won and I think they played well. I'm especially glad to see Miller looking very sharp. I'm just saying that it wasn't a win against an elite team.

Sheesh.

It should be interesting to see what happens when Kaleta comes back. Supposedly he's got a broken hand or wrist so it may be a while.

Lindy messes with the lines so much, maybe it's better his hands are a bit tied right now. Let those top six play together all the time, get some chemistry and score more goals.

Sheesh.

We should be happy this team beats anybody at this point, who cares if its not an elite team.

I prefer RJ on TV and Radio.

I speculate that most fans would.

Thanks Harry!

Please don't forget:

The most dangerous player on a 4-on-4 is always the pinching defenseman.

They always put the guy who retaliates in the box.

You have a better chance of putting the puck on net from the point if you take wrist shot.

Putting the puck on net may not always be the best play, but it's never a bad one.

This is getting fun, we should start a thread just on Harry Nealisms. And, based on the rolleyes, it would apparently irritate PA. Even more reason to start a thread just of Harry Nealisms.

Miller has the quickest feet in the league.

NIEDS leads all forwards in total ice time. PP's or not there is no way that NIEDERMAYER should be getting the most ice time among all forwards and almost all players.

They DID win. While I didn't see anything great from him, he didn't stand out negatively during any of the play.

Connolly took the shot from 51 ft out.

last night he played as if he was trying to impress the sharks into trading for him.

Here is a better idea. RJ does the home games and the Sabres pick up the home teams pbp for road games. Kevin Sylvester is to pbp what Tim Conolly is to #1 centers.

You clearly don't have NHL Center Ice. Most of the broadcasts around the league are ****ing terrible.

I don't agree with this at all. I'd say most of the broadcasts are as good as or better than the Sabres'.

I watch a ton of games online. I think the Sabres broadcasters are middle of the road at best.

37 Feet from the goal line (Insert random player here) Takes the shot and scores.

Blistering commentary. Harry put down the Windsor. For your money Mike Lang even though he is a PBP guy paints a great picture of the play on the ice. Having played both roles he has perfected his art. Similar to RJ. If you can stand the homerisms he is entertaining. Also like RJ. No disrespect intended.

BTW X your quote is the one that makes me laugh the hardest.
