SwampD Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 This is exactly what I'll be doing tonight. Time to get to the rink. Made it back in time for the second. A good day so far. Now give us a win LET"S GO BUFFALO!!!!
wonderbread Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Miller needs to stop ###### with the puck.
SwampD Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Yes! That's a great camera angle they have of the players high fiving the bench.
Eleven Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Again, I'll say that I wish Hamilton had gotten a chance--he's a really good PBP guy--but I am not hating Sylvester. I can't stand him as a broadcast host, but he's hardly bad as a PBP guy. And now 3-0!
Robviously Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Vanek finishes after some great passing. I was expecting 3-0 tonight, just not with the Sabres having the "3."
Iron Crotch Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I keep waiting for Nichol to cheap shot someone. That seems to be his only role as an NHL player.
carpandean Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I wonder how many Sharks fans, who don't see the Sabres often, are saying "hey, I thought the Sabres are a small team." Ennis is the only skater under 6' and only he, Pominville and Connolly are under 200 lbs (well, Hecth is listed at 198 lbs.)
SwampD Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Whatever Ruff said to (or about) Miller seemed to have worked. He looks more solid tonight.

Also: (1) Sekera just tripped, blatant, no call; (2) I love watching this team in white. Why can't they go back to the old convention of white at home? Dammit.
SabresFan526 Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Miller was phenomenal that period and looked like last year's Vezina Trophy winner. Let's see if he and the Sabres can keep this up in the third. The Sharks came out on fire in the second, controlled zone time, had more shots, and somehow the Sabres score the only goal of the period. They really have something going on that PP with Stafford down low passing to Vanek in the slot for a quick one timer. Good period. Just need to win one more period. I expect the Sharks to again come out on fire and the Sabres have to weather the storm, play patient, and play a good defensive third period.
darksabre Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I want to remind everyone that the Sharks aren't great this year. This is a should win.
bunomatic Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 3-0 going into the third. This is oddly familiar.
SwampD Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I want to remind everyone that the Sharks aren't great this year. This is a should win. Hi Cheerios. Meet piss.
darksabre Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 Hi Cheerios. Meet piss. I'm not impressed by a 3-0 lead in the 3rd. Just ask Canada.
SwampD Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I'm not impressed by a 3-0 lead in the 3rd. Just ask Canada. I'll take it though. Some good hitting here in the third.
Ghost of Dwight Drane Posted January 7, 2011 Report Posted January 7, 2011 I really like Kevin Sylvester as PBP. When he makes a mistake, he knows it and is modest enough to admit it or be corrected. Maybe next year RJ home games KS away? We gotta keep RJ fresh for the '13 Cup run.
