bunomatic Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Who turned into...wait for it.... An empty roster spot. Nice!
SwampD Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Who turned into...wait for it.... An empty roster spot and millions upon millions of posts about what could have been and what should have been if they acted earlier and I'd rather have four first round picks and :wallbash: ... fixed.
Doohicksie Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 What was Hecht doing on that 2-on-2? :(
PromoTheRobot Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Jeebuz flippin' Kee-ripes! PTR
darksabre Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Nice work Hecht. You and Sekera are both tied for brain-fart of the game.
carpandean Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Hecht does know what being a defensive forward means, right? I would have said two-way, but he's clearly forgotten about offense.
Weave Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 I see it that way too. I don't know who else they could call up instead because I'm no Mancari fan either, but I haven't been impressed with Adam. If he plays more physical and puts his size to use, he could grow on me. But so far he just seems slow. I don't think it is a speed thing. Right now I think he isn't anticipating plays so he is a little behind the play. At least that's what it looks like to me.
NowDoYouBelieve Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Wow. This team is just awful. I don't know why. I thought we'd take a small step backward from last year. But they're just terrible. :(
bunomatic Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 These guys have a knack for making average or below average clubs look good.

I gotta say, it seems like Mark is finding his groove. I find I'm just watching the game without the PBP guy getting in the way.
wonderbread Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Wow Hecht needs to be taken out back and shot like an old racehorse. Drew just started getting scored on was like a kick in the pants.

But they're just terrible. :( In defense of the team tonight, this is about the worst case scenario. No top 2 centers and the stud young D-man nursing the flu. About the only thing that could make it worse is Miller going down.
thesportsbuff Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 I wonder if he's sick as well. I'm guessing that with all the travel, Myers isn't the only one who will be a scratch on this trip. Well, I mean in pretty much every game he's played with the Sabres, he's looked slow and just not very good overall. But someone informed me a few days ago that he's having a good year in Portland, so maybe there's hope.
Stoner Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 What was Hecht doing on that 2-on-2? :( Kevin just called it a "tough break" goal. Stafford agreed. Just goes to show you you can cycle the puck until the cows come home, but at the other end it's all about one great chance and it's buried on Mr. Vezina. Dude needs to wake up in the final seconds of periods. That long shot off the glove, what the hell.
Stoner Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Jack, did you see the Flame fan holding a game program behind the Buffalo bench? Did you see what they call the program in Calgary?
Stoner Posted December 28, 2010 Report Posted December 28, 2010 Vanek benched toward the end of the second? If so, I can guess the play that made Lindy do it. On the power play with about seven minutes to go, Vanek turned the puck over at the Calgary line then got it back just as quickly. He turned at center and had absolutely not life in his skates coming back. Compare and contrast to a carbon copy situation in overtime when he was all fired up about having twins and ended up scoring.

But someone informed me a few days ago that he's having a good year in Portland, so maybe there's hope. Yeah, after I wrote that I was watching him and saw that he wasn't sick, he's just slow. That's been the knock on him, but he seems to be in the right place at the right time a lot, so maybe his hockey sense can overcome his lack of speed.

Did you see what they call the program in Calgary? Nah, I missed it. I have the Saints' game on, watching Sabres on a stream since I don't have a HDMI splitter =( Enlighten me
