...how about making a save?

From the News today:

"His worst outing came six days ago against the Panthers. He lasted just 20 minutes, pulled after allowing four goals in a 6-2 loss. Miller says the team has rectified the problem.'There were some major things that popped up in our system where it was a little bit of teams watching our other games,' he said. 'We'd found a little bit of success, and as you start to rely on those tendencies teams will notice that and will play against it. You have to adjust again.

'We relied on the middle without realizing there was more pressure. They had a lot more guys filling the center of the ice. They had guys pressing on our centerman, who is usually our deep support. That makes it hard. You've got to work around it, spread the ice out. We just had to build it so we could skate together and more. It showed up a lot better the other day.'"

I think this is a nice example of him expaining the system.

As others have pointed out, this is a nice example of avoiding personal responsibility.

Wow, you get one poorly Photoshopped picture of Connolly, and you're in my back pocket! You're a cheap date. I keed.

As a soon to be husband, he needs to sharpen these types of skills up.

Lol! Very true. I say trade him before she ruins him.

It's true. You can't rely on the middle. U need to spread the ice before relying on your centerman to give u deep support.

Let's hope we don't see a similar quote in the morning. I'll not be happy. Miller should be making these stops. Wanna be the best goalie in the world? Wanna be Mr. Vez.? Then BE HIM. Otherwise, shut up and play hockey.

Someone needs to tell him he's not the coach. He made a strange gesture after the third goal. If he was upset with a teammate, that's pretty over the line.

If he's upset with a teammate, let him say it. The goalie is to a hockey defense as a catcher is to a baseball infield. I have no problems with that. But I have problems with his total abdication of responsibility last week, and it's not like he's been brilliant tonight.

Maybe Florida has his number?
