Derrico Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 13th in the league in scoring. Your positivity is not welcome here. Hahhaa, just trying to stir the pot....
Stoner Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 There's nothing to see here. Mods, can we get this thread shut down?
dan213 Posted December 23, 2010 Report Posted December 23, 2010 He's been my favorite Sabre to watch this year. He's been consistently solid in almost every game.
themaze2332 Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 What exactly are we going to lose? Someone who falls all the time, cleaning off the ice? Someone who misses point blank chances? Someone who looks for someone to pass it to and then turn it over? Whatever are we going to do? Oh wait, we have Ennis and Gerbe to fill his shoes...they pretty much do the same thing...no worries:)

RazielSabre Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Impressed with Roy and Leopold. Vanek could be better but isn't too bad. Lalime has impressed me as well, maybe we'll go all season without a win (sorry, I couldn't resist).
dan213 Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Any news on how long he's going to be out?

cdexchange Posted December 24, 2010 Report Posted December 24, 2010 Any news on how long he's going to be out? Gone for the season. Yikes. http://sabres.nhl.co...s.htm?id=547282
themaze2332 Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 ya, why worry about losing your top scorer? We are losing Roy, not Vanek - Vanek is the leading scorer.
themaze2332 Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 Our best forward this year by far. While his points are high, quality points are not...one GWG and most of his assists are secondary. I will not deny that his injury will potentially hurt the team, but I am still not convinced he is the backbone of our team based on history and present play.
dan213 Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 Heard this earlier today. This really blows.
thesportsbuff Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 The timing of this thread was impeccable lol
carpandean Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 We are losing Roy, not Vanek - Vanek is the leading scorer. In the NHL "scoring" has always been defined as producing points (goals+assists), not just goals. I've always disliked it, but that's the term that they use. Thus, Roy is our leading "scorer" by that definition.
deluca67 Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 Busted knee? I say broken heart. Seems strange that Roy is suddenly out for the year right after Miller's engagement becomes known.

thesportsbuff Posted December 25, 2010 Report Posted December 25, 2010 As an aside to this thread... I mean, no to be superstitious or anything, but maybe this bob_sauve28 should make a "Sidney Crosby is having a pretty good year" thread or something.

I never said he was the backbone of our team...that would be Miller. I said he was our best forward this year. If he's not, then who is?

I mean, no to be superstitious or anything, but maybe this bob_sauve28 should make a "Sidney Crosby is having a pretty good year" thread or something. NICE!! And then a "Gosh I'm really glad Mike Vick hasn't been hit by a train" thread, while he's at it?
bunomatic Posted December 26, 2010 Report Posted December 26, 2010 NICE!! And then a "Gosh I'm really glad Mike Vick hasn't been hit by a train" thread, while he's at it? Or a Vick wants a new dog thread.
