Anaheim game?

Versus bought the rights to it in an attempt to increase ratings for their own game and to promote the Caps for the winter classic. Also, St Louis/Atlanta is not available on TV and Montreal/Columbus is only on Canadian TV, not in Columbus.

If this is true, I'm calling bullshirt. If they are gonna buy the rights to games they have no intention of televising I will stop watching Versus. ###### them.

I get the principal behind the angst however maybe they are doing us all a favor sparing us the frustration and showing us all we can do other more productive things with our time.

The Topic I was looking for without the answer I was hoping for. Not even an internet stream somewhere? This sucks.

Chances are - no. The game is not being televised by anyone - MSG, FoxSports (who normally does the Anaheim games), etc so no one in their home will have access to a video feed. The only off chance - and this is incredibly rare and probably impossible - is that someone can get the feed used for the HD boards @ HSBC - but I'd be really surprised.

Bust out the radio or the web audio stream - that's all there is for this one.

IIRC, it has something to do with Versus being able to have certain nights for itself. It sux, and we will not see the game on broadcast in Buffalo. That's IIRC. IIRW, well, anything's up.

It shows the game listed on my center ice

Supposedly NHL Center Ice through iN DEMAND will have the game, but according to their schedule they're using the MSG(B) feed, and there isn't one - I'm fairly certain it's a misprint.

If the Sabres didn't suck than maybe they would be the only game on tomorrow night.

It's true. They actually were just talking about this on the Vancouver/St Louis game i am watching right now on center ice, on the Blues feed, because their game is also effected tomorrow night vs. Atlanta. Versus wanted big ratings during a holiday week while also promoting the Caps to a much larger audience.

I would really like to see a backlash against this. If this is successful for them this year we'll probably see more of the same in the future.

I cannot imagine why the NHL would allow this to happen. Having games go unseen does nothing to help grow fan interest.

I can't say for sure since i never heard of this until when they released it this past off-season but i read somewhere back then that they do is couple times a year, usually before holidays. I never noticed it though so idk. And obviously when they block these games out for their own good, it's a US blackout, so tomorrow game in Columbus is "versus property" and can't be seen in Ohio but Rogers Sportsnet will still air it in Canada. I wonder if CI will pick up the Rogers feed or no?

Hey Guys, check out channelsurfing.net ; I cant afford cable right now being a poor college kid; but this is where I watch all the games online for free. Just scroll down to the sabres game in the list. Its not a guarantee where the feed is coming from all the times; I've even listened to it in french when we played Montreal, but I have never had a problem seeing a game. Im sure its on somewhere in the country, just check Tuesday night : )

I'm in Idaho, it's listed on my center ice package and I have it scheduled to DVR. Hope it's right.

I have seen games broadcast via the jumbotron feed before on my Centre Ice package, but this might be a different animal for you in the US with the Versus blackout.

That tends to happen when you have two teams that don't broadcast the game (like Atlanta and Nashville) playing one another and neither RSN is broadcasting the game. In those cases they'll make arrangement to get a backhaul feed distributed via Satellite. But that's not the case for tonight's game.

I don't know what the deal is with this TV blackout (some sort of Versus rights thing or whatever), but what kind of a league makes a deal where fans of a team are not allowed to watch it's own team play? What the ######?
